Its tricky because there is not enough information. If you examine all of the platforms, there is one that sticks out that could go either way. With that said (without giving away the answer), I think there are technically 2 correct responses here. Anyone agree?

">cureant and ">u1976turn, Keep trying to find the right answer. I had the same problem. You must answer corectly to move to the next page. I wish they setup some type of warning for this, rather than making it look like the page is broken. I guess that takes the fun out of it

aLTeReGo, Im not too sure I am completely understanding the question. Do you mean for example, if our hardware team would like to add a node, they would need admin rights to NPM? I think if this is well thought out, there could be an "advanced options" setting drilling down even further by user account. Example: User…

I agree... This is a great idea. I know that this could cause extensive resources to keep all of the cached data especially on an enterprise level, but even 48 hours to a week before the data is purged would be very useful in case of accidental deletions or user error.

watch out...today's question could go either way....trick question...be careful

Thanks Maria!

Thanks!! I was submitting the wrong answer. Once I found the right answer, I was able to move to the next page and submit my name.

Should everyone have their points from this mission yet?

Thanks Maria!

This is the same thing I got..I thought I was going insane. The answer IS wrong!!!

I agree with Robert Browning, It is saying I got Q1 wrong, but I know the answer I had was correct. Please check the test!!!

This would be convenient for a lot of people but most know how to convert in seconds. If both could be used (like an either or), that would be fantastic!

Totally agree abynum, Todays question was poorly written and not really clear. Nothing in the hint related to the "correct" answer even digging through the links found on that page. Good luck guessing, I wasn't so fortunate.

Do the points add right away when you answer a correct question? I am answering the question right, then entering my username, and then I get to a congratulations screen. When I go back to Thwack's homepage, my points remain the same. I was wondering if there is something wrong or the points come at the end of the…

Hey guys, Anyone having the same problem with today's question? I put in the answer and clicked next. Usually, the next button will bring me to a page to enter my ename. It just stays on the question page. I've tried using different browsers and internet connections but still seeing the same results. Can anyone take a…

Where is the survey link? I thought it was supposed to be posted on Nov 2nd?

Gotcha, this is what I thought you were asking. There would have to be an option to either seperate this completely or openly share the right between groups. Some companies may want more than one person/group to add/edit/remove nodes. Others will want only 1 person/group to add/edit/remove nodes. This is a very good point…

We would also like to see support for GCP. We are migrating our system to GCP very soon and using Cloud SQL for our database. Our other servers will be instances running Windows. Our current system has 9k nodes and we have 1 polling server along with a netflow server. We have NPM, NTA, and DPA. Wish me luck!! I'm going to…

Thank you for sharing that info! We are going to try to migrate the database to Cloud SQL. Fingers crossed! I will update this thread with anything I found to be potential issues once we try. I am fairly confident it will work but with it being unsupported, I cannot be certain.

Hey guys, I'm looking for the same thing. I need to collect the trigger actions for each alert (over 300). It would be useful to have an alert inventory report which displays all details of every alert configured.

Try to ping the node in question from your main Orion server. If you are getting ICMP replies, the orion server has communication with that node. If not, check your security (firewall) or routes to and from the node and establish communication. Then, log into the node and check to see if WMI or SNMP is enabled. Go back to…

I never had a problem finding what I need using the thwack search bar, google, and youtube. Think outside the box!! Use other ways to search!
