I've never set up flow export for L2 and we don't have any L2 specific resources so I'm not sure if you would be able to see much about non-routed traffic. Check out the Tech Ref and see if your config matches the samples. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Netflow/docs/OrionNetFlowSwitches.pdf

Please open a ticket on this one

OK - so with that in mind, go over the document and I think you'll be able to set it up from there.
-
Bob/Gerjan, Thanks for the frank feedback. That's how we know what needs to be improved! Andy
-
You can go directly to the latest SP. There always include fixes in previous SPs.
-
Well, you've got me stumped. You might clear the browser cache and restart the browser. If that does not work I suggest you open a ticket.
-
We have isolated this to the way we round data for the summary tables. The higher spikes are correct, the valleys are an artifact that we will fix in the next release.
-
Yes, evaluation on win 7 is ok. I can have a pre-sales engineer help you through this. Is it ok to contact you at the gcsssd email address? Andy
-
If they gave you new MIBs to compile to Orion that won't help. It may be that they're SNMP agent does not have the dot11 MIB populated. Did they give you a new agent or just MIBS?
-
The APC MIB is 1.3.6.1.4.1.318. Some OIDS that might give you what you want are .7 low battery .17 battery needs replacement .53 battery over temp .80 no battery .156 battery test fail

And if you replace the static date with this it will report on last quarter automatically. Thanks to Josh Clark!! SET @StartDate = DATEADD(qq,DATEDIFF(qq,0,GETDATE())-1,0)SET @EndDate = DATEADD(qq,DATEDIFF(qq,-1,GETDATE())-1,-1)

So since SNMP polling is not realistic for millisecond periods I would do attack this 2 ways: 1. Monitor bandwidth carefully, as you are doing. 2. Measure the time sensitive apps If this is voice you can use IP SLA such as in the VoIP monitor product. If it is another app there are lots of ways to measure the app…

Thanks - If you can post the results back here that will be helpful.
-
Looking again at your original post it looks like you want to suppress alerts on sites 2-5 if site 1 is down. Is that what you are doing? If so take a look at the method here on page 13.
-
See email I sent you
-
Are ther just 2 groups you need to email? (The IT dept and the ISP) or will those parties vary depending on which circuit failed?
-
Yes - that is what I meant, the battery backup devices.
-
Good to know. I'll pass this along to the Product Manager.
-
Oh no! Byron has a lawyer involved now. ;)
-
1 Minute ensures that you will always have a valid template.
-
Actually Orion defaults to 2055. You can change the port number in NetFlow settings and use multiple ports by adding port numbers separated by a comma. (2055, 9996).
-
Hi aLTeReGo, The word is that aging will not solve the issue. Also I am trying to get further testing on the issue but we need another db that is in the error state. Do you have a back-up you can share with us? Andy
-
That is listed as a feature. I recommend opening a ticket w/ the TAC.
-
Please do - support might be able to fix it on the spot. At any rate post the ticket number
-
So my question is of scale. Do you need to ensure that all LAN ports have a delay <3ms or is the requirement specific to some important interfaces? Same for the serial iterfaces.
-
Rick and pyro - please open cases so we can track this issue. Thanks - Andy
-
I haven't found a good way to do this except in Traffic View Builder, which does make you choose a router. I'll check further with development. Andy
-
Try this report.

Yes, VoIP deployment is lagging behind network size so it does not always fit. I'd like to further understand your environment to work out a solution. I'll PM you. Andy
