When is 12.3 releasing? We are waiting on the new mapping capabilities as support says 12.3 fixes bugs we have been impacted by for months.
-
There could be a few ways to approach this. Can you share the alert that is triggering this? Is it possible you have redundant alertS?
-
Hi, Is the poller creating a table? If so the polled data and alert may not play well together. This is an item I am investigating. Andy
-
I dont get that issue. Mayge the browser? Can you try with a different browser?
-
Hi MathieuJM, Not a feature yet. I have his slated for a release next year. Andy
-
Is there a functionality in basic alerts that you can't do in advanced alerts?
-
I see. Because we do the arithmetic in NPM to get the "Today" number, it look like the data from the calculation is not persisting after a reboot. Looks like this will be a feature enhancement or perhaps a bug. I have marked this for PM comment.
-
I have not seen that. Do they recover after a couple of polling cycles? I'll mark this for a PM to look at as well.

Hi gkeel, The NPM interface utilization and NTA utilization come from seperate data sources, SNMP polling and NTA exports. If they look about the same this is good news as it means two data sources agree. I don't think there is an issue. Andy

Can't be done unfortuanately. The phones are very light weight devices. Andy

Unmamage those elements of shut off the alert first.
-
Sure - the best way to do this is to create a yes/no custom property and assign it to the servers. Then include that property in the alert. This Tech Ref shaow how to do this. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/UnderstandingOrionAdvancedAlerts.pdf

It may be that you are trying to add an app monitor with an overlapping port range frrom an existing app definition. This is not supported.
-
Hi darkshooter, The admin guide details this very well in Chapter 11. The type of alert you want to create is fairly simple. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/OrionAdministratorGuide.pdf Andy

There is a list of common application ports that make up the "monitored" traffic. All the other ports are considered "Unmonitored". In 3.5 you have the option to see how much of your traffic is considered unmonitored and some options to manage it. To see what the traffic is you can drill down into it on the NTA views and…

Have you tried the Export to PDF" in the upper right corner?
-
So you have - "ip flow export source Fa0/0.1" in the config?
-
Hi RobberTire, Suppport can walk you through this - Give them a call. Andy
-
It won't do it for a certain number of times but you can specify a time period for the alert to be true.
-
We have found several defects with the Cisco VoIP MIBS. That is one of the reasons we can't expose more call information.
-
Hi jaylll, There is not enough information here to isolate the issue. Nodes are not added through NTA, they are added in NPM then if they are exporting a flow (NetFlow, jflow S-flow) that flow source can be added to NTA. Are you trying to add flows to NTA or are you trying to add servers to NPM? Andy

Does this count?
-
A lot of circuits are full duplex so they should add to 2X the interface speed when very busy.
-
This should be OK. One thing you might see is a delay in the advanced alert as it has a dependency on the basic alert triggering.
-
Take a look at this blog post. This might work for what you need.
-
Hi Romeo, Great use of Network Atlas and sorry that you are running into that issue. I'll mark this for a PM to comment on. Andy

Make sure the proper directories are excluded http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/2124/What+files+and+directories+should+I+exclude+from+antivirus+protection+to+ensure+adequate+file+access+for+Orion+products%3F

RPM reporting is not a feature of IP SLA Manager but is the results are stored in a mib on the Juniper device you may be able to retrieve them using a UnDP poller.

I have heard Win 7 has a built in Firewall that kills SNMP. Did you shut that feature off?
