You don't get the same set of variables as with Advanced Alerts but you can filter the mesage and use the variables as listed in the Orion Common Components Admin Guide.

I would try an SNMP walk but I have a feeling that only a reboot will get that device moving again.

There are a couple of ways to do this. You could create a custom SQL report if you have access to a SQL guru or you could externally transform the results on bytes per 24 hours to mbps.

Hi don123, The Real-time NetFlow tool is meant to be a desktop tool. You can have NetFlow sent to 2 collectors so all you need to do to use the free tool is add your desktop IP address to the NetFlow exporters (try the included NetFlow Configurator). Orion is at now ver 9.0 and NTA is at 3.0. Try them out - pretty cool…

Hi freeman, This section is refering to adding the VoIP sites to VoIP monitor, not configuring IPSLA. This is normally used by someone who can get R/W access and has had someone else with that access set up IPSLA ahead of this step. Andy

Have you tried using the edit box on the upper right? Also note that if packetlos is at zero it will look like a blank graph.

Hi jbeville, Have you gone into Orion System Manager and made sure the device and interface are managed in Orion? Andy

salyerma, Thanks for the input. I am the new Product Manager on wireless. I will add this to my list of possible features for the next release. Andy

Hi Faluzure and welcome to thwack! I recommend sticking with Advanced Alerts. For the reset I would use the check box for conditions are no longer true. Check out the suppression example used in this paper. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/UnderstandingOrionAdvancedAlerts.pdf I think using the yes/no custom…

Nope - GA is the same bits as RC3

Would it work for you to unmanage the secondary and only manage the primary?
-
The Call Quality numbers in VoIP Monitor actually come from the Cisco routers leveraging IP SLA. Won't work on Nortel routers but if you happen to have a Nortel IP PBX and Cisco routers this will all work. Andy

Run this querry - DELETE FROM Views WHERE ViewTitle LIKE 'Netflow%' Then run the configuration wizard on the database.

It sounds like the manager would like a report, not an alert for specific interfaces. Is this correct? Can you give some additional details? Is this for a specific port type and what type of devices are you looking for?
-
That is good to hear - can't wait to test it! Here is the link to the KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972840 Applies to Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or an x64-based version of Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Can you send me a sample of what you would want to see? Doesn't have to be fancy, whatever gets the point across on what you would specify as a subdomain.
-
You can use the Orion Service Manager to stop/start all services. All Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Advanced Features -> Orion Services Manager.
-
What are you trying to alert on?
-
The Admin Account List will show the last login time.

Can you provide some specifics such as versions and screen shots?

Hi Ciag, It looks like you are trying to understand how many idle interfaces you have and how long they have been idle. Is this the case? Andy

Hi Justin, We do our best to make Network Management easy but NetFlow as a technology can be can be a bit complicated. Support can probably take care of this in one call. If you open a ticket I'll help make sure this goes away. Please reply w/ ticket # Thanks - Andy

I believe those switches use an old version of sFlow, v2. v5 is the current standard. We don't accept v2 flows. Here is a post explaining some work-arounds.

What version of ESX?
-
Hi Bryan, We have the same components available for 3.0 as we did for 2.2.1. Note that NPM 9.2 is now available. Andy

Check the group status rollup. It sounds like it is set to "worst". The setting is in Settings -> manage groups. Choose the group and click edit.

Can you give more details? Version, error messages etc
-
IP SLA only measures IP Voice
