Some old versions had a bug related to this. What version are you on?
-
Not by default but you can add them via Admin -> Manage Views.
-
I believe that the counter is missing. A poller is used to poll one or more counters, so you need to specify the counter for collisions before the rate.

If the SP will give you SNMP read only you will be fine. Having come from an SP background we used to do this when pushed. Andy

You should use one or the other. The reason they both wont run is that the first instance reserves port 514. The second one also uses 514 by it has been reserved. The Kiwi docs are here and the Orion NPM syslog docs are here

That is detailed in the Administrator Guide. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OrionNPMAdministratorGuide.pdf

Hi Mark, Your Orion NTA is taking port 2055 so Real-Time NetFlow Aanlyzer (RTNFA) can't use it also. There are 2 solutions. 1 - configure your exporters for NTNFA for another port 2056 for example and launch RTNFA on port 2056 2. Point your exoprter to a different machine that does not have NTA on it and use RTNFA there.…

Hi vturello, Our Orion NPM is great for management reports. Andy
-
Andrew, I you add the condition "Node Status is not equal to UnManaged" does that fix it? (or interface status if it applies to interfaces)
-
Does your helpdesk use a trouble ticket application? If so, you could have the alert open a ticket via email.
-
Hi dan-uk, We can probably figure it out with a little more info. Which NetFlow report are you reffering to? What version of NTA? How many NetFlow exporters do you have configured in the transfer path and are the both ingress and egress? Andy
-
That is not a known issue. I don't know how that CP could have changed systemicly for just one device.

Please contact Investor Relations regarding this type of information. http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=220867&p=irol-irhome

rdoda, can you open a ticket on this one?
-
The alerts are not instantaneous. Did you leave the server down through a polling cycle?

Hi Techux, Here is an HTTP login test that is open platform. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-83156 and here is one for FTP. The best place to find these is in the Content Exchange area of thwack.com. I offer a 5 day class on the most popular Orion products if that would be helpful. Andy McBride Director of Public…

Hi Byron, The database maintance should goom the old messages out. Looks like this one will need a ticket. Andy
-
I'm not sure what you are asking. Do you want to send an SSO link to the config management admins and only allow them into NCM? If so, do you have an AD group in place that defines these admins? If that is the case this is easy to do. Just lock out all of the other tabs (non NCM tabs) for those users and assign them the…

Hi Doug, It looks like that would have to be done in a custom SQL report today, but I'll mark this for the PM to see. Andy

Check for UAC. http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/4029/Trigger+catagories+fail+to+load+in+the+Advanced+Alert+manager+Interface.
-
What type of devices is this? I would start by checking on the device UI and NPM at the same time to make sure they agree.
-
Please open a ticket with diags from the server.
-
Are you using this method? Admin -> Manage nodes. * Mark check box next to nodes to remove. * Click delete on for right. * Click OK
-
Hi Peter, Can you do a show ip flow inter command. I don't have a machine here with subinterfaces but this might show us something. Also can you take a PCAP from the NTA server? It will show what interfaces are being exported. Andy
-
Hi PMan, I recommend monitoring the connection to the Internet router, not every switch. If you monitor all the switches you will see a lot of LAN only traffic which has the effect of hiding the LAN to Internet traffic, the stuff that cause recurring access charges. NTA can use NetFlow v5 and 9 as well as Sflow v5 and J…

For last boot we look for a lower sys uptime poll. If the sys uptime is always a larger number then the device did not recently reboot. If it returns a lower number than last poll it has been rebooted.

What is the message in the events resource saying?
