Try this one Note that you will have to do some tweaking as indicated by the commenters.

You can see the unmonoitored traffic by port in NTA 3.5

Are you running SQL on the same seerver as Orion? This is not recommended. 64 bit is not an issue, but SQL needs to be on it's own server with RAID 10, 6 drive storage.
-
Alex, Do you have current maintenance? If so you can upgrade to 9.5 SP4 and that will fix it. If not you might try re-running the hotfix from last year.
-
Please open a ticket and we'll work with you on this. Andy

Hi Scorpio, This is a known issue which we are addressing as top priority. For now, you can manually restart the service. We have a fix in testing. Andy

Hi bfrank, We use SNMP IFIndex numbers to specify flows on a certian interface. If the router IOS populates a specific IFIndex number for that vlan traffic, you can chose it in the SolarWinds NTA interface. Andy

NTA must use the same database as NPM. Your database will be larger with NTA. I suggest you examine the db server and make sure it is ready for NTA. Each installation is a bit different so the best way to measure what the impact will be is to add one NTA source (interface) at a time and keep an eye on the db server. These…

Hi Pablo, Is this an NCM problem or NPM - sounds more like NPM. If so, the first thing I would do is change the advanced alert so that it waits a couple of minutes before triggering. That will help stabalize things. Can you tell me more about the servers you are using? (Orion/SQL)

If Akamai is using a fixed set of IP addresses you could create an IP address group for them in NTA.

Hi Bobby, You can add NetFlow resources to node detail pages by going to a node details page, click Customize Page (upper right). Then click the green + and expand on NetFlow Node Resources. If you don't see the Customize Page option on the Nodes page, go into Settings -> Manage Views -> Node Details and click Edit. Andy

Hi salex, Do you have any devices where you do see flows or are these the only devices? Here is a tech ref on NetFlow Troubleshooting. Andy

Are there limitations on his account?

Hi Antinio This is some very old software. Are you under maintenamce? If you are we can help you get upgraded and get this issue fixed. The versions you have now a past the support cut off.
-
Hi Larry, I'd say support would be the best path on this one. Andy

Hi sunday, The alert trigger and suppression are combined into one query. The reset is a seperate query but happens about the same time. If you want to make your alert specific to a certain node use and ALL condition group. Use caution including a device name in a suppression. If you were to add the suppression Node name…

Take a look in the NPM content exchange area. If you sort by post name APC will be near the top. There are several pollers there you can download.

Here is the SolarWinds Port Requirements document. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/SolarWindsPortRequirements.pdf
-
This tech reference should provide what you need. It sounds like the SQL server is the issue.
-
Did you assign the properties to the applicable interfaces, nodes or volumes in the Custom Properties Editor?
-
The NTA alerts are all interface utilization triggered so they are not traffic type aware. I think the best way would be to omit that link form the standard alert, create a serparate alert for that link that omits the backup time period.

Hello gdim, I am the new Product Manager for Wireless Network Manager (WNM). We do support the 802.11 MIB but that doesn't mean it will work with every wireless vendor's implementation. Here is what I recommend: * Check the SNMP Access settings of the 5131 via the device management interface to make sure the Orion machine…

ISO defines a 53 week year. We have been using Gregorian week numbers but I'll place this in the bug tracking system to switch to ISO. Andy
-
Hi Lee, In NTA you could create an IP address group in NetFlow settings, then use Traffic view builder to view it. Andy

What version of APM?
-
Yay!
-
We pull the format from the database.
-
What trap OID are you using? You should be able to search that OID in Google and find out the counter type and values.
-
Does it have to be a report? If not then the endpoint search resource might do it, depending on how many endpoints you have to track.
-
have you added that new interface to NPM?
