I did a quick search through tickets. This is not somethig we are seeing from others.

Hi Noodles, You definitely want to use IP SLA Manager and Orion NPM.NetFlow will show you CBQoS data so that should be included also. Here are a couple of papers on NetFlow and IP SLA technology which are excellent. (OK, I wrote them) You can contact sales about licensing. Andy

Hi Erik, Check out the section in the NPM Admin Guide on escalating alerts. Let us know if you need more info. Andy
-
Sounds like a browser issue. Can you test from another browser?
-
There are a couple of methods to accomplish this. One is in the Understanding Orion Advanced Alerts Paper, the other is in NPM content exchange. I have not done the second one but it has great user reviews.
-
I think I know where you are going with this. What I would do is create an alert for each group and define the folks you alert to in the email address on the action. We don't have the ability today to place logic into an alert so that if A happens alert X and if B happens alert Y. It takes 2 alerts.
-
Take a look at the alert. It may be something like "Status not equal to up". Child nodes receive the status on unreachable so this will still trigger. If you want to post the alert I can look at it. Just export from Advanced Alert Manager and PM me for my email.
-
Is the one that is not working the system link? As long as the alert email is http you should be able to place any URL you want in the message body. It is a little difficult to tell what is happening with so much redacted. You can PM me and we can work this OOB if you want.

If you only export flows from the ASA you will add 1-5% traffic to the WAN link. If you add flows from other devices behind the ASA the load will incerase incrementally.
-
Not sure I follow you. The default is 32 bit counters. Are you asking how to default to 64 bit? If that is the case it is not possible today.
-
Here are some tips from the Kiwi forum on making this work.
-
Have you tried using one of the compliance reports? They check for strings, especially public and private violations.
-
I'm no SQL guru but it loks like you are doing the right thing. One note is that the definition of 95th percentile is the point where 95% of the traffic is at or below that level. Depending on if you are rounding, tossing the top 5% may not be the right thing. if you are taking traffic as collected and not rounding this…

Did the oft requested, "Does not contain" criteria make it? Having "Contains", but no "Does not contain" has been frustrating.

Most of the information is from the MIB-2 IF table. Is there a specific OID you are interested in?

Hi Foroozan, NTA uses the same database as Orion NPM. That is a fairly large interface so I would look for your database to grow about 40 - 50 gigs. This is a rough estimate. You can manage the database size by adjusting the compressed and non-compressed data retention times to values lower than the defaults. There are…

I would not recommend using the average as it combines transmit and receive rates which is meaningless for a full duplex connection. I would use the below trigger. If you want to avoid triggering on transitory peaks set the trigger delay for 2 minutes and keep the "check for this condition" (General tab) at 1 minute. I…

Hi Pau, 2055 is the default port we use for SolarWinds NTA. Set your NetFlow enabled devices to send to the Orion NTA server IP address on port 2055 and make sure there is an IP path on 2055 from the devices to Orion NTA. You will need the NetFlow enabled devices and export interfaces managed by Orion as well so you'll…
-
When this happens, is the Last NetFlow Recieved up to the minute or are you seeing delays there too?
-
Did you do an in-place upgrade of SQL or a migration to full SQL?
-
Yes, there is nothing to physically throttle a loopback interface. I think youu have it right.
-
You won't be able to implement NetFlow across the board on those platforms with that command set. >#ip route-cach flow was replaced by ip flow ingress to allow for ip flow egress as well. Otherwise what you have should work on the 7Ks. For the 12406 see the command ref and for the cats see this tech ref.…

Have you tried creating an alert in Advanced alert manager against the custom poller?
-
The up/down status is determined by ping. Can you ping from the NPM server to any of these devices?
-
Can you be more specific on what you want to accomplish?
-
That schedule is valid
-
The UDT product does this out of the box. http://www.solarwinds.com/products/user-device-tracker/
-
Set up the alerts to trigger only on the components of the AD app monitor you want by choosing APM:Component from the Type of property to monitor dropdown in the Advanced Alert Manager Trigger Condition tab.
-
I'm not quite sure what you want here. Are you looking for one alert if any of these conditions exist? That's not too hard to do. For 1- What do you mean by downloads? Are you looking for a specific traffic type, unidirectional utilization or something else? For 2- Do you mean iterface utilization? Is this for a specific…

Autohide will take care of this.
