What version of Orion are you running?
-
Try changing the second line to volume status not equaly to unknown. can you export the alert and post it?
-
Do you have any modules? If so take a look at this matrix to see what order you need to upgrade. Can you be more specific on the errors?

Hello, The total bytes tranfered bar graph shows the bytes transfered per graph interval (bar). Click the edit button to adjust the graph scope and interval lengths.

Here are a couple of good posts. Also make sure SNMP is enabled and configured on the physical server as well as the VMs.

Hi skierjmh, Look for my Wireless Monitor SurveyMonkey coming soon! Andy

It has been my experience that the install goes quickly, under 1/2 hour. It does depend on having your ducks in order before hand and how many operations you configure. Take a look at the paper here on moving to IP SLA from VoIP. It still applies even if it is a fresh IP SLAM installation. Also a paper on IP SLA technology…

I can see how that would be useful. I will add it as a feature enhancement

Support can help you on this. Please open a ticket

We certainly can trigger on a specific number of violations over a specific time span. The polling period is constant so is it possible for this case you could just use violations per period time as the trigger?
-
Do you have any of the Orion Modules? If so, make sure you follow this compatability matrix. Can you be more specific on the errors?
-
The NTA collector runs on Orion NPM so it will use the same IP address as Orion. Is your Orion address really 10.0.0.0?

Hi Dan, I can't get to my NetPerfMon db right now s o I can't see what you are seeing. If the multicast/unicatst is on the same level as the error traffic then it is just another way of counting the total traffic. If the multicast counter is a division of the error traffic then you need to sum them. I hope this is helpful.…

Hi branfarm, It is not possible to create that report today. I am tracking this as a feature enhancement. Andy

I believe they use 8B/10B encoding but don't know the test patterns.

Hi Corey, I don't have the answer now but I'm looking for it. Will post it soon. Andy

Applications can be part of a group. If the applixation status goes red, so will the group.
-
There is a component status alert out of the box. You can simply add an email to the alert actions and you are done. Grouping is not necessary for that one. Use ${ComponentName} is ${ComponentStatus} on ${NodeName} for the email message and you're set.
-
Events are populated by NPM and the modules outside of alerting as well as from alert actions. My guess is there is something in the alert that suppressed the trigger.
-
What is displaying in the email?
-
Not sure if this will do it but maybe you can create the SQL admin group and place view restrictions that control what they can do.

Hi chaldz, A couple of questions on this one - Is it always the same devices that show down or is it random? If it is the same ones, is there a common path between the IPM server and those devices? Can you do a PCAP from the IPM server and examine the ICMP packets to the devices in question? Andy
-
Hi Joe, Rediscover that mode only using Network Sonar and you will be able to uncheck the unwanted interfaces. Andy
-
canv you post a screen shot?
-
I was unable to recreate this on my test box. The only way I can replicate this is with a bad community string. Can you test SNMP access from the Orion server using Toolset?
-
I'm having a little trouble following your set up. Can you give me an idea of the topology and what you want to see?
-
Do you have toolset? If not you can try it for 21 days. Use the MIB Browser to examine the device MIB and find the OIDs you want to use. Then use the UnDP to create a poller for that OID.

Hello, * AdminStatus means the status in the config (shut/no shut) OperStatus is the actual operational status (like the cable gor unplugged), Status is just unqualified status, such as Down with no further qualification about the status nature. * It looks like you are referring to the basic alerts. The Advanced Alert…

Does the portal operate Ok, is adding node the only symptom of an issue?

The CBQoS resource will be hidden if we don't detect that CBQoS is configured.
