Create an alert with an always true condition like Node Status equal to up. Restrict the time of day so it only fires once a day then add the trap action. No need to reset. You can add text into the trap stating that it is a test trap.
-
Wo don't have the ability to do this today but I'll move the post to the feature reuquest forum.
-
Status is checked using ICMP, so you'll be good for non-snmp devices. You could use a custom property to specify in the outgoing message that the subject device is part of the Voice network. Check out this Tech ref and let me know if you need more help.…

You can detach the map resource and drag it to the other monitor but I am seeing some issues with scaling the maps doing this. I will continue to test and see. Other users please chime in if you have this working.
-
It could be the sflow. I suggest you open a ticket on this one
-
Hi Kabakkuk, I'll try to replicate this and see what I can do. Andy
-
The KB you link offers the solution to configure the ASA to allow for high-numbered requests. I believe that will be the solution.
-
Hi Paul, Please open a ticket on this one.

Hi Mike, There are a couple of ways to attack this. One is described in this alert paper, the other in this post. I have done the first but not the second. Andy
-
I'll mark that for the PM to see. Also take a look at the "What we are working on" thread ->
-
Take a look here if you have not seen this one. Review the detailed feature comparison.

That is one of the standard resources on the NPM Interface View.

Is that number incrementing?

ceclark, Sorry to hear of your trouble installing. The Workspace Studio is the main feature in the v10 launch so it's definately worth getting the install to work. The abilities in Workspace Studio are a huge increase in functionallity from the old collection of tools so I can understand how it would look like we didn't do…

Hi rand0, This doc has some good examples and explainations of alerts and supression. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/UnderstandingOrionAdvancedAlerts.pdf

Good day Cpl Wallace, VoIP leverages IP SLA. In IP SLA you configure a router on one end of a voice path to test the path to the far end. The SolarWinds VoIP module writes the configuration for you, adding the parameters to measure delay, jitter and MOS. We have built in the ability to do a manual installation also if your…

If you have created the poller as a rate based poller you can just alert on the rate you don't want to exceed.
-
Yes, and no (don't ya hate answers like that) - except that the device would actually only go into warning state for 2 minutes of fast pings before being marked as down. From the AG A device may drop packets or fail to respond to a poll for many reasons. Should the device fail to respond, the device status is changed from…

Hey freeman, I'd check with the manufactures docs. Avaya does have SNMP on some phones which is unusual. A faster way would be to use a MIB browser (try our toolkit eval for free http://www.solarwinds.com/register/index.aspx?Program=363&c=70150000000D8FL) and browse the phones. Yes - I am shameless. ;)

Hi SDK, We license NTA to fit your network. The best approximation we have of your network size is the size of your Orion NPM license. A very large network can have all its data flowing through a few large interfaces, as could a very small network. So all interfaces are not equal for NTA as a technology. Some companies…

A good deal of that is probably protocol overhead. The MTU restricts packet size so the 100 MB gets chopped up into many packets with headers, retransmissions and so forth.
-
This might be helpful. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/UnderstandingOrionReportWriter.pdf
-
Hi Jason, We support SNMPv3 USM as Cisco and other vendors have implemented it based on RFC3414. A good deal of the RFC is implemented on the equipment side so we can't speak to that. Andy

See this thread
-
Are you asking how to do those items?
-
I would limit the account to a group of nodes that only contains those devices and create an advanced alert for those devices with a 15 minute trigger delay. Make the alerts screen a promenent part of their home view.
-
What did you move? The db to a new machine with the same IP address? to a machine with a different IP?
-
Hi Don, I found this poor, orphaned post so I thought I'd see if you are still looking for this. You can use the ${GroupMemberName} or a few other group member variables in the email alert action to enumerate the affected members. Andy

Have you looked in the config archive folder? Look in the setting page for your Config Archive Folder location path.

Were looking at adding that support mid 2009
