Is the web ticketing failing for you or is it an access issue? Looks like we will need a ticket with diags.
-
Wow - I have never seen a server that powerful, that maxed out. Can you see what processes are eating the CPUs?

What does the final chart look like?

Here is a newer paper specifically on SNMP v3 and SolarWinds products. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/Implementing_SNMPv3r1.pdf

Keep in mind the source of the data for each case. For the Orion table the source is your Orion database. For the Cisco device the source is the Cisco agent. Clearing the Cisco agent does not clear the Orion database. This type of data mismatch is common in network management. Folks will often compare NPM interface…

Hi lchance, Not OOB. Chris La Point is more up to date on the product features at this point. I'll forward the thread on to him for his input. AndyI

Someday I'll type faster than Jeremy! Like he said....

Marie is on vacation so I added them.

Questionario, This was a SPAM on the forums, not a real post. It has been deleted. If by chance it was a real post with a link to buy leather mini skirts and such, we delete those posts too. Andy

Is this causing an issue for you?
-
We can't do an alarm for X condition y number of time within a time frame, but it is a tracked feature request. I would set up a trap and trap alert for those bounces.

Hi borgan, For the first post, database growth rate depends on a few factors, some of which you can control, some you can not. The ones you can control are full exports vs sample NetFlow (in the device config), data retention settings (NetFlow Settings) and number of exporters (sometimes adding a source just shows the same…

We have seen this issue when a SUP 2 is used as it will see only layer 3 traffic. So non-routed VLAN traffic will show up in SNMP (Orion) but not in any NetFlow collector. SUP 4 or 5 with a NetFlow daughter card will work.

I think 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.6 is the drive table. The table root (.0) may retrieve the table, as Petr suggests. If that does not work you will need to specify the drive index from the table.

Ok - Thanks Jeremy! I wasn't sure if that was the correct setting. I also found that pushing troublesome HTTPS monitors to the bottom of the list helped to keep them from interfering with other monitors. I have another question but I'll open a new discussion because it drives me nuts when people change the subject…

Thanks - I have added it to the list but Cisco has not identified that code as containing the bug.

And how are you testing?
-
The ICMP and ICMP path could be considered ovelapping tests. The ICPM test is jut ping, hwole the ICMP path is trace route. If trace route is successful, so will be ping. So you could eliminate ICMP, but that test has such little impact on devices and the network, you won't get much in return. ICMP jitter is good for…

If you are looking at writing a MIB get Larry Walsh's SNMP MIB Handbook. It can you a lot of headaches. ISBN 978-0-9814922-0-9

Note that the Dynamic Service Groups feature in 10.1 make this workaround unnecessary. But I agree , it is top notch work!

Did you find a solution for this? - andy

SysUpTime=0 won't work but SysUpTime < last poll will.

Take a look at this Orion Performance Paper
-
David, Thanks for the explanation. To summarize, the charts are actually displaying an aggregated flow rate over 2 hours as indicated, not a flow as a function of circuit bandwidth. Andy

ivarth, Also see the Upgrade Instructions document set in the customer portal under download your software or register your software. Save the compresed folder locally, extract locally and start with the start_here file. There is also a video in the DL package that ezplains how to use the interlinked doc set. Andy

It would be awesome if this could spawn a Service-Now change ticket X days before it shut a port. Using any automated shuts in our ITIL environment requires automated change tickets.

If you replace the static date with this it will always report on last quarter SET @StartDate = DATEADD(qq,DATEDIFF(qq,0,GETDATE())-1,0) SET @EndDate = DATEADD(qq,DATEDIFF(qq,-1,GETDATE())-1,-1)

This gradient file will allow you to create a company logo banner with the Orion banner gradient as a background. This will avoid having a custom logo that clashes with the Orion banner color scheme. Here are the steps required: Download the orion_blank_banner.png file. Open the orion_blank_banner.png file in a graphics…

Yes. You will have to reset it.

I have seen that work well in a very large environment.
