Sure. Do a subnet discovery and limit the IP range so it will only find 1 or 2 servers.

Is the NPM an SL2000?
-
RAID 0 or 1-0 would help. If your OS can address more RAM it can't hurt.
-
NTA does not install as a standalone, only as a Orion module.
-
What model AP'S
-
If you are considering installing NTA on only the additional poller that is not a supported configuration. The primary reason to install NTA on an additional poller is for reachability around a firewall or such.

Make sure you have the "Allow 64 bit counters" box checked for that device. This is in Settings -> Node Management. Select the node and click on Edit Properties

One will work for the not equal to up condition

I search the ticket database and I can't find that type of issue. I would suggest examining the SQL server resources (CPU, RAM, etc) to see if there is a utilization issue. If you don't find anything you could remove it from APM and see if it stabilizes. If it does, I would open a ticket with us and MS. If it continues to…

I'll mark this for a Product Manager to look at.
-
Yes- if you want the servers dependent on the switches to which they attach.
-
You could enable syslog on the server and set the NPM server (assuming that is what you have) as the log reciever and see who is using the server via syslog. See the NPM Administrator Giude for instructions. There are other syslog products we offer as well such as Kiwi Syslog Server.

It is not in the product today but is on the roadmap

Hi All, I am no longer the PM for VoIP, Francois is the PM now so I'll let him comment.
-
They can use UnDP to add the devices today - also Avaya support is on the roadmap
-
Yep - That resource does have the problem but % Util line chart (The one I tested) doesn't.
-
I'd use Toolset right click integration if you own TS
-
It does does trim the DNS tables but you may want to do additional.

We don't recommend placing the SQL server on the same machine as Orion because it typically slows Orion and SQL. We will be doing some testing here on a really beefy server (2X 3G quad, 64GB, RAID 10 8 spindle for SQL, RAID1 for OS) to benchmark a NEtFlow appliance but that test is a few weeks. out. So for now the…

I see now. This may be a bug. Can you open a ticket so that we can track it?

That is true

The avg converges to the max only in the case where all the data points for that period are are static. So if the data points for one hour are 20, 19, 20,20 ,20, 19 then the max is 20 and the avg rounds to 20. This is often the case when an element reaches its max capacity for a long period of time. On the other hand if…

I assume you have written 2 identical exporter configurations on the device. Does it look like the data can be attributed to only ingress or only egress data? I would like to see your config for the exporter and a pcap from the NTA collector if possible. Andy

What usually gets me is the SNMP strings security tab. Have you added the comm string and allowed all hosts to acccess (Center of screen shot)? (or add the NPM server IP to the allowed hosts)
-
Would the IP schema allow you to segregate the 'branches' by IP address groups?
-
Good deal - Thanks for sharing the solution with the community.

Look on the basic alerts main screen. See if the Temporarily disable all action for all alerts" is checked. There was a bug in some 10.2 upgrades that set this to true. If it is checked just uncheck it.
-
A couple of suggestions - * Check Allow 64 bit counters box * get rid of the Read/write and test the Read only - We'll get one working then add the other. * If that fails double check you device config * Can you use MD5 rather than HMACMD5? * Can you use DES rather than CBC DES? * It almost looks like there is a space in…

Port errors are collected on the interface level. Creating a UnDPs for interface errors from the MIB2.interfaces MIB and transforming the results with a column sum function should do the trick. Errors are measured as in and out on seperate OIDS so you will actually create 2 UnDPs.

The devices don't support NetFlow from what I have been able to find. We support a variety of flow exports in NTA but if the device can't sent a flow, we can't read it.
