This is now in a KB. We will be adding the Jflow, S-flow and Cat commands. NetStream is not supported. http://support.solarwinds.com/kbase/ProblemDetail.cfm?ID=1542

It's probably best to open a ticket on this one.

Hi khor, Good news - I talked to the PM for NPM and we are switching over to the 1024 standard. Work to make this change is already underway but we can't share a release date with you now. Andy
-
Hi goofyzig, if that did not work I suggest you work with support on this. Andy
-
The SP does not clean up the old data so you could truncate to get rid of it or just let it age out. Andy
-
You are correct. NTA 3.0 does not show BGP or AS' but I will add this to the roadmap. Andy
-
Kinda - It supports traps only
-
Great job, Peter. Can you post the UnDP poller in NPM Content exchange?
-
It would have to be a parameter that the device could trap on the use Trap Viewer Alerts to filter. The Trap alerts can trigger by number of occurances per time. I thought that was in Advanced Alerts but I am mistaken. In Advanced Alert Manager you could use the "Do not trigger this action until condition exists for more…

It is a Cisco 7304, but is a SP managed CPE router.

Does sho ip flow export indicate the NTA server's IP address?
-
Looks like we were typing at the same time. ;) I'll check on suppression logging.
-
It is true that the none and not all logic are flipped. Because you are using a single simple condition in the none condition group this is moot. Looks like Sedmo's trigger will work. Andy
-
Now the software is designed to add CBQoS interfaces even if they are not NetFlow exporters. Sounds like a good option would be for us to add the ability to select to only collect CBQoS from interfaces in NTA.

The answer is enable the responder feature that issue the responder command. feature sla responded conf t ip sla responder

Can't you just save new ulr?

We recommend RAID 10. A lot of RAID controllers have performance problems with RAID 01. Here are a couple of Tech Refs that address the SQL server and the Orion database. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OriondbBestPractices.pdf http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OrionPerformance.pdf Andy

When pings are missed, NPM will fast ping the device and look for it to come up. The up notification will be in the order of seconds, where as the down notification will be determined by response time polling settings and the point in the cycle when the device goes down. Add a reset condition action to notify you and you…
-
That should be fine for the default data retention periods of uncompressed data = 2 hrs and compressed =30 days.
-
Yes
-
The Event window will update you periodically.
-
Note that the upgrade is done in two phases. Phase one, where the NTA app is upgraded should happen quickly. Phase two, the database migration can take some time but NTA is available for use during phase two. The migration takes place in the background and includes database shrinking. Andy

I found the issue. The URL is redirecting to an HTTPS site so the HTTP monitor barfs on the SSL cert and times out. I just switched to the HTTPS monitor and all is well. **Facepalm**
-
I dont think you can create a UnDP for jitter because the data requires a table join, which UnDP won't do.
-
One of my coworkers pointed out that there were no modules for 8.01 so you are OK to backup and follow the correct upgrade path as Marie suggests.
-
Here you go. To add more servers you just keep adding to the last OR but keep the alignment as shown. Another method would be to make the alarm for one server against that status of ABC then copy and edit that alert for each other server. That will keep you from having a real long trigger condition in a singe alert that…

Today they need to reside on the primary.
-
What Avaya servers and gateways do you use? Do you use PRI or SIP or?
-
Aha! Yes, this is a known issue we are working. Has to do with the control we use for these resources.
-
Debbie - Have you tried creating service groups for these sites so you get a single alert that the group is down and investigate that?
