I should probably edit that guide to specify that the 20GB is for a single poller deployment. With APM, NTA and multiple pollers the database size can increase easily. Perfmon shows the y axis at 0-100 by default but it is not percent. Use the numbers under the graph to get a better idea of the queue length. 2x the spindle…

Got it - Thanks The Product Managers monitor this thread so they will address this one. Andy

Now that I have had my coffee - the alert is already true for any node that triggered for warning, so it will not trigger again for the transition to down. That should be in a seperate alert.
-
Yes - it is global. You can use this method to do a quick test and then reset it. I know it's not optimal. I'll mark this for a PM to look at and comment.

Hi Bryan, VoIP SP2 was released to address Orion 9 compatibility and to fix an issue with very large VoIP deployments. If you have not experience any timeouts in VoIP reporting and are staying on 8.5.1. you could repair VoIP in Control Panel and back out. Otherwise I'd stick with support's recommendations noted. Andy

I'm not following what you want to accomplish with this alert. What will the alert be used to indicate?
-
The RAID 5 will be a problem. If you can backup the db, move to raid 10 and restore you will be a lot better off. Use as many drives as you can. I RAID 10, 6 drives will give you 3 effective striped drives, 8 drives gives you 4 and so on. Also if you can use 15K RPM drives it is to your advantage.
-
It may do the trick. I suggest a call with support before you do so.
-
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed.
-
RC4 = 10.1 release so if you are on RC4 you are OK to go to 10.1.1 release.
-
I see. Can you do a packet capture on the Orion server to see what OID is being polled for that particular interface traffic. It should be from the 1.3.6.1.2.1.31 branch. Also, what does a 1 hour time period graph look like?

These counters are rolling counters, like the odometer in a car. It used to be that you could drive a car 100,000 miles and the Odometer would "rollover" and read 000000 like the car was new. This is counter rollover. SNMP rolling counters do the same. 32 bit counters have 32 binary digits and may roll-over often when…

Also be aware that the issues with the MIBS have pushed back the PRI support in VoIP. We are still planning on doing it, but not in the next version. We are working with Cisco on a solution that will work for the smaller platforms. Andy
-
Yes - next step download it and try it for free!
-
Thanks all for the great feedback! I have all the example we need at this point.
-
Good point. We'll get this documented. Andy
-
Would you expect to see the results as a joint, rolled up status or each status individually?
-
Hi Aaron, Is ther a config option for interfaces on the pfSense software or is it just on/off?
-
Hi again sonic, Use add/remove programs and then delete the VoIP folder from inetpub/solarwinds/orion. If your server won't allow you to delete the VoIP folder you may need to reboot then delete. Andy
-
can you post the .OrionReport to content exchange and I'll have a look at it. C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\Reports
-
Yup - Here is a Paper on NetFlow
-
I don't think you can do that today. I'm asking from the angle of creating a feature enhancement that will do that.
-
Bruce, Thanks for posting the diags. I have asked QA to try to reproduce the issue using your information. Andy
-
Yep
-
Well that settles that. Do they claim the devices are SNMP manageable? If there is no MIB there is no SNMP.
-
Interesting. I'm on 10.1.3 and don't see that option.
-
Yep - You guys are correct! Looks like I have an edit to do.
-
True. The None qualifier actually create an OR and the Not All creates an AND. Probably backwards to what you would expect but that is what is happening.
-
Keep in mind that NetFlow traffic analysis does not attempt to completely measure bandwidth usage, only who is using the bandwidth and what they are doing. NetFlow accounting measures to the byte but is a different implementation of NetFlow. It sounds more like you are interested in capturing very granular data on circuit…
-
Jdwag, The graph only shows you the top N known ports. Go to NetFlow settings make sure you are monitoring all ports. Also allow data retention of unmonotored ports.
