Hmmm. Is it an interface data rate? What condition are you trying to isolate (alert) on?
-
Also make sure you have cleaned up or removed you old alerts from before dependencies.
-
JWERLEIN - do you want to keep the HTML posts that got scrambled?

Errors are failed packets. Problems like malformation, CRC failure, runts, giants and such. How does that device compare to others like it in your network? It seems like the xmit errors are high, but check with a similar device. If this on is way worse that other I recommend a ticket with the vendor. They will probably ask…

You can DL it and use for free for 21 days.

It looks like there is very little traffic being seen on that interface. Can you do a packet capture on the NTA server and see if the exports are making it to the NTA box.
-
Hi folks, I have alerted the LEM. You should here from the soon. Andy

It is on the roadmap. What would you want to see and where would you expect to see it?
-
Ah - Now I see. You have specified a condition for a component but not specified the component(s) it applies to. That is why it creates an incomplete query. Also note that I completed the steps as you have outlined and did not get the error message, so it might be a bug in your version or such. I am on Core 2011.1.0, APM…

Thanks for the post. I am doing some more fact finding now on NBAR deployment so it is very timely. We don't have NBAR built in today but is you set it up manually you can use Orion's Universal Device Poller to poll the NBAR MIB for results.

You can enable FTP server on a cisco router for router to router transfer time or use another FTP server. The operation will retiieve the file and overwrite it each time. Here is a good Cisco doc on this.

What is in the path from the exporter to the collector?
-
OK - I'll have support look at this

What do you need the suppression to do? In what situation do you need supression? If you don't have a specific need then you don't have to use it at all.

Alerts are still configured via the Advanced Alert Manager GUI.
-
Hi Kimberly, This is true. Alerts and resets are triggered by SQL queries looking for violations of the thresholds so this makes a test of the trigger or reset unreliable. So the test alert does only test the actions. Andy

Scott, Logically None should be NOT X or NOT Y or NOT Z. Not all should be NOT X and NOT Y and NOT Z but in the implementation those are flipped. I set these up and examined the SQL in the alerts table and verified this.

If the firewall is the single point of failure to objects behind it, then exclude that firewall from the group and make the group dependent on the firewall.
-
Hmmm. I've never tried that but it could work.

Yup - We'll KB this. This is already in the SEUM Admin Guide. The AG will be released when the product GAs. Thanks

Alerting is on the roadmap but not date committed today. These use cases are very helpful though in defining the functionallity and getting it assigned to a release. Andy

Hi Debbi, Thanks for the feedback. I know this doesn't help you, but it looks like the upgrade issue you have experienced is not common. Our dev staff do travel to and from various SolarWinds sites but this usually only means that their hours of availability will be off sosomewhat from N. America support hours. Sorry if…

You are right. I was thinking of CBQoS.

Thanks Jeremy - that's great info!

It's a tie.

Use the RAID 10 option for SQL. You will get 2X the throughput of RAID 1.

It may be an issue with the agent returning a ludicrous value. Can you turn off the transform temporarily and graph the results to see if anything unusual is being returned from the agent?
