The link the Web Server Backup tool was removed, but the application is still here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\OrionWebBackup.exe" This is not what should be used to backup the website (which is why the link was removed). All of the relevant configuration information for the website is stored in the database.…

We currently have no plans for this. Is the web interface insufficient or do you just like the convenience of the "widget"?

We have made some changes as of NTA 3.9 and NPM 10.2 that actually make this scenario slightly better. Basically, NPM can keep track of multiple IPs of a node. NTA can do a lookup to see if the IP exists but isn't the primary management IP. It's could be a bit tricky to setup if NPM didn't automatically pick up the other…

Andrew, This is all fair and useful feedback. We are working on several enhancements to CBQoS in NTA for the next release (see my post about the Beta here). We won't be able to get to all of these right away, but I've logged these requests and we will certainly look into them in more depth. We have no intention of…
-
We definitely hear you and understand this request. Unfortunately Cisco doesn't expose the data we need via SNMP so it's much more complicated than adding some additional internal pollers.
-
julrich, Have you seen this post information on the content exchange? It should help you. Also, you could use the API to add nodes and interfaces. For more information about the SDK and how to access the API, see this post. Mav

Also, I assume you will have network access to all of the devices. Some customers lock SNMP polling down to specific machines so you'll want to make sure your DR server has access. Also, traps and syslog messages will still go to the old IP. This may not be a problem in your environment, it really depends on how your…

I'm not positive off the top of my head, let me take a look and get back to you.
-
Quick update, we were able to reproduce this internally and are continuing investigation.
-
Michael, unfortunately you will need to wait for the page to load before exporting. Or are you trying to do this with scheduled reports?
-
mvjames, Thank you for pointing out the error in the documentation. Regarding updating how NPM works to better align with best practices. I've opened an internal bug case to track this request (FB104296), but unfortunately we have no immediate plans to change how this works. If there are other users who would like to see…

sean, Following up on Brandon's comment, here are some pollers that will monitor certain IPT elements. Also, for monitoring IPSec, take a look at this guide from Cisco: www.cisco.com/.../dtipmib.html Let me know if you run into any problems or have any questions about either of these. Mav

wvitalec, I'm sorry to hear about your frustration. We definitely made some mistakes with migrating the Custom Property Editor to the web. We've been working hard based on feedback late during the RC to bring this functionality to the web. We are currently in RC phase for a service release (10.4.1) to address these…

There are a few ways to do this today with LM. We are working on easier out of the box ways, but if you want to see them now, we can help. Which applications would you like to see?
-
I'm a little confused about the problem you are having. When you do a search, it should take you to the search results page (see screenshot). When you click it, you will be taken to the direct Subnet where the IP is (see second screenshot).

3.8 has not been released yet. The release candidate is available to existing customers in your customer portal. If you need help accessing this, please send me an email and include your SWID and I will make sure you have access. Mav

Jeremy, Sorry for the delayed response. The machines are gone but are the reservations still active in your DHCP server? If there is an active reservation, then the address is not available, hence it is used. Mav
-
Dentifrice, I'm sorry nobody responded to your original post here. Currently IPAM does not support historical tracking. We will only give you the current status of an address. This is something we are interested in adding in the future but I can't comment on time frames or promise we will do it. As a work around, we have a…
-
That's correct, Michal no longer works at SolarWinds. Unfortunately i'm not getting notifications from this thread so I didn't see your request. I've added you now, sorry for the delay. Thanks for the tag njoylif

Could you just create a group and put the nodes you want to watch in the group? Then you could add the All Groups resource to your summary view.
-
DamatiMan, Thank you for sending this up. We are currently tracking some requests that are very similair to this and I'll add your request to the list. The existing requests we are tracking are: 1. SNMP only monitoring of a node (today we depend on ICMP to provide status) 2. Custom pollers on maps Mav

John, As Pavel said, this wasn't exactly designed to do what you are trying. It definitely makes sense. There is a way you can automate this if you are handy with SQL, but it's not very easy :-) When you add a new subview, a new view is created. You can get the view ID in the URL (when you click the subview, the URL will…

Chuck, Toolset supports running with the FIPS GPO enabled as of version 10.6. See this post if you have any questions or would like clarification. Mav
-
We are still working on the release, but to address some of the recent questions. This release does not address the concern about multiple people simultaneously editing an address. Regarding DHCP support for the ASA, it's something we are considering, but nothing something I can commit a delivery timeline to. cnorborg,…

I've talked to a few people who are really interested in automatic discovery of subnets. This is definitely an interesting request and something we are looking in to, but will probably not make the next release. Stay tuned for more.
-
OK, re-reading your post it sounds like we read the same document and the VLAN isn't configured for Jumbo frames. Sorry about that. Have you tried restarting the switch :-)
-
This message you are seeing in the event log is described in this MSDN post: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa371546(v=vs.85).aspx Chrystal is right, you should open a support case. Please reference this post and post back the resolution once you have one. Mav
-
scottyd, We are tracking this request. It won't be changed for the release that is currently in RC, but we will look at options going forward. Thanks!
-
We are working on a fix for the column width. For existing customer, please contact me directly offline and I can talk about giving you a Release Candidate where this is fixed. Unfortunately, I cannot provide this to evaluation customers. Mav

DirtySouth, I'm not aware of this issue. We have tested with IE 8. I'll ask QA to take another look at this. In the mean time, we may need to schedule a go to meeting with you to investigate further.
