Good news! We did get LEM on the CDM product guide during the last phase. Ok that makes sense. I've logged this as a feature request under enhancements for Neighbor Discovery. I assume you have different subnets spread across this device correct? If each blade was serving a different subnet, you could add the neighbor device. Obviously this is probably an edge case and most people will not be…

Based on the limited information here I suggest you two open support cases. I can't think of any known bug that would be causing this. You will definitely need to include diagnostics when you open the case. Mav

matmuts, can you explain exactly what you are getting on the serial but not on the ethernet interfaces? Is it a report or a resource, or something else? Also, check out this resource made by Gob. It might be exactly what you are looking for. Mav

The SDK information can be found in the Forums -> SolarWinds Community -> Orion SDK or you can just use this link to jump directly to the SDK which includes some documents to assist users in creating scripts. I can't tell if you already tried this or not, but you can create a group with a dynamic query based on certain…

We have not added support in EOC for IPAM yet, but it should be coming soon.

I'm working with bleearg13 offline on some work around options. Once we get it working, we will post back here with more information.
-
There is a trial in the customer portal, not a license for the product.

Daniel, I recently posted a screenshot of a new product we are working on. This new product will provide more information about what is connected to what (although not necessarily in a graphical map like Network Atlas). Take a look at the post and tell me if this will provide helpful information. If you are interested,…

sja, We are looking at adding support for the Cisco IP SLA Metro Ethernet operation. Unfortunately, I cannot give you more information on the implementation specifics at this time. You can find more information on the operation here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2sr/12_2srb/feature/guide/sr_meth.html Does that…

bennetb01, we have been looking at the best ways to help out customers monitor their IP Telephony environments. You have a lot of good suggestions and I would like to talk to you offline to get more information. mt1299, this is something we are tracking. I didn't put it on this list because it's not as much a feature as…

Good feedback. I've logged the request. In the meantime, this information may be helpful for you until we can implement a more detailed scheduling option. Everytime you edit a subnet, the scan job is re-scheduled. The current job is removed and a new job is created. So if you want to have something scanned every evening,…

phreakingeek, Unfortunately we still don't have an out of the box way to do this. However, by using Custom Properties, you might be able to solve some of the problems posed by this. Simply add a custom property to a node, for example: CustomVendor, then populate that value for your nodes. You can then use this property to…

Thanks Karlo, yes, better reporting is something we looking at and this is all great feedback.

Bo, Unfortunately our products leave something to be desired when it comes to uninstalling. The cleanup script is more for removing database tables that prevent upgrades to later versions as opposed to an exhaustive system. Is this still an issue or did you get what you needed done? If an issue, please open a support case…

Thanks for the great feedback Mark. I've opened an internal item to track this (166144) and a request on our thwack ideas section (http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1259). It's something we've heard a few times before but are still monitoring demand for.
-
Qui, We need more information from your deployment to better understand your issue. Can you tell me the size the tables that start with UDT_? These are the UDT specific tables and I want to see if the problem is there or with another table. The best way for us to help you with this, is to contact your Sales Engineer and…

I'm sorry to hear about everyone's frustration here. There was a previous post where we discussed this issues with some work arounds. Please see this post and let me know if that solves the problem or if you continue to have issues. Thanks, Mav

Attempting to use the old Win32 custom property editor will corrupt the database and we strongly recommend users do not attempt to do this. We made some mistakes with the migration to the web. We've received a lot of feedback once 10.4 was out. Unfortunately it was too late to make any changes in that release. Since then…

As always, we appreciate constructive feedback. We are working on scheduling a User Experience review with Donald to make sure we can address his concerns. Any customer is welcome to provide information to help us make the products better at any time. We ask that everyone maintain a respectful tone on the forums. We…

Have y'all tried UDT? It includes some basic functionality for this. It has a report that will show the vendor name based on the OUI of the MAC address for all of the devices in your network. You can modify the report to show specific vendors. Mav

The NTA 3.8 RC is now available. If you have active maintenance and are interested in installing it, please send me a message and include your SWID.

To delete a port, go to Port Management and switch from Nodes to Ports. Then you can select a port and click unmonitor. There are some other things we are looking at to make this resource a little more manageable in the future.
-
rgward, What exactly do you mean by a map view? You can expand the hierarchy of the supernets, subnets, and groups in the Manage Subnet page. Regarding the report, you would just want to see the "containers" and not any of the specific addreses, right? Mav
-
Aaron, Thanks for your work on this. We created a KB for this. knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/.../ Thanks, Mav
-
Donald, glad you like where we are going with it! As you know, we have several customers who work with 6500 (and it worked in our lab as well). Obviously there are some cases where it is a problem, we are working on correcting any of these issues as we find the root cause. Same deal with the Nexus. We focused on resolving…

Hello everyone, we definitely hear you on this long outstanding request. We are tracking this internally under 85713 and I hope to have some good news soon (not in 10.3 though).
-
suffah, Do you see a category called unmonitored traffic in your graphs? If so, you may want to enable monitoring on all ports to make sure you are seeing those other ports (Settings-NTA Settings). Mav
-
Andrew is absolutely correct and we have a lot of room for improvement for CBQoS data in NTA.

Unfortunately we have not done much recently to address the pain points around managing multicast. We have made updates recently to allow for alerting on table pollers, but there is still a gap from what you need. Can you leverage logging messages for this?
