Ive been using IPAM since it release and love it!!! It's so much better than my old Excel sheets... As Craig mentioned, yeah it is a new product, BUT its developing all the time! (1.7 got released today) and we as the communitity push a lot of the features (Cisco DHCP support was one of the biggies) the best thing with…

Can you provide some screen shots?? Do you have an engineers toolset or some other snmp tool you try and access this info from?

Thanks for that Peter... Its nearly what i wanted but i think its becuase of the way i explained it... Ill try again: I want to have a list of subnets (not the IP's) where i only have IP's below .101 used/reserved/transient. If an IP over .101 is used/reserved/transient it wont list it. Hope this explains it better...

All i did was enable SNMP and setup a community string.

I know it cant be filtered... hence why i posted in the feature request forum. But it would allow me to create an overview of my applications which are made up of several applications.. I already use the view limitations but this is very messy (have to use a custom html resource and iframes to a detached resource). If i…

Thanks Mav! That works great on a newly added nodes after the modification. Will I have to delete and re-add any exisiting devices for this to work or will it retrospectivly delete them? (probably not but just worth checking)

I belive there is a table in the DB called websites where you can change the servername that is used in the acknowledgement email. Hope that helps

Id also like to see user groups as well... Define the permissions on a group and then just add users to the group without having to worry about permissioning the users.
-
You would need to be running NCM (Network Configuration Manager) to be able get this. You would need to define a 'Compliance Policy Report' with some rules that look for the strings you are looking for.
-
Id love both of these... Would the MS DHCP integration allow you to manage the scopes from IPAM?? The reports, id like some reports only looking at the DHCP usage and non DHCP usage... ie we have some subnets that are heavily DHCP used and other thats are heavily Static used... and associated alerting. Matt

Hi xpowels Unfortunatly they only support SNMP traps (authen failures, port connects/disconnects etc)

Thanks!

Its been a while since i have done a VPN tunnel but from the quick scan of the config, your sending all traffic down the tunnel. You would need to setup split tunneling and send your netflow traffic directly out of your dialer/cellular interfaces and all other traffic down the VPN.. Hope this helps

Hi Jeff, Please see below, these are all layer2 vlans (along with another 100 or so) so this makes the pages extremely long...

Hi Jeff, Sorry i may not have explained correctly. Un-monitoring them wasn't a problem. I wanted to remove the vlan 'ports' completely?

I have to agree with Donald, I import form Orion everynight and overall that is ok for me... EXCPET the filtering is terrible... I would love to be able to import and select mutiple criteria to filter on.... eg has to be Cisco and has to have a certain value in custom property A, and custom property B is true

Bryon, If you check the 'Polling Settings' in the admin section of the webconsole. this is where you can see the statistic rentention periods. Hope this is what you want... Matt

What version are you running?? Does manually starting the Orion Module engine service resolve the issue? or do you have to do a full reboot? Are there any events in the windows event viewer? Have you tried a repair yet or installed any new modules recently?

Bump! No one tried this???

Cheers guys much appreciated!

I have a couple of UPS's that are reporting their SysObjectID as 1.3.6.1.2.1.33 which is the main MIB-2 UPS mib. Can an entry be put in for 1.3.6.1.2.1.33 as 'Generic UPS'??

An auto EoL/EoS report is all that is keeping me on Ciscoworks at the moment... I really want to get rid of it as it's quite resource intensive for us and would much rather have NCM.

Thanks ecklerw1. So its an R2 issue not a 2008 issue?

The device your testing the OID against has to support it. i.e. if you test a Cisco OID against a HP Switch it wont work... Also some devices don't support all the OID's, the Cisco Fan status example within UnDP only work on larger switches such as the 6500 series and not on the smaller ones like 2960's If you check the…

Hi Campbs The wireless tab section only currently supports Cisco and Aruba (Meru will be in the next release) One of the product managers/moderators will hopefully pick this up and add it as a feautre request. Matt
