I risked it... it's just the one answer as I thought. The multiple boxes you could tick threw me off.
-
Got it! thanks! I could have sworn that wasn't an option when I checked it this morning; probably needed more coffee.
-
Finally got it! And yes, badly worded. I've been through that post a number of times, trying to decipher some unbreakable code; thinking the answer lied in some symbolic metaphor. Turns out it is right in front of you! Keep looking.
-
It's not you, I can't get it either.
-
Were you lucky enough to order one? - I just had the same idea. The very time I go to order one as I finally have the points and it's out of stock! What are the chances!?
-
Did you get anywhere with this?
-
Agreed this would be most helpful.
-
Will check this stuff out thanks.
-
It told me I selected an answer which I didn't either. Needs a reset.
-
Awesome, exactly it. Cheers.
-
Ah that's good to know that I wasn't missing anything. Thanks for your reply.
-
Sorry for no reply, I was off. To be honest I haven't delved into this enough to grasp it but looks like you're onto something. I found out it works on 'notification' level, so might do some testing with my devices and see if that overwhlems the box or not. I'm hoping it will be fewer messages to at least cope with it. I…

Thanks, I played around with it and now got it working. Good stuff. I was missing exactly that.
-
Ah ok, so how would that work?
-
Ah ok, good to know it's not just me. I'll have to look at potentially adding something in between, or I guess we will just have to prioritise the 'Real-time' devices rather than all of them; only leaving them on informational, so it doesn't kill our box! Thanks for your reply.

Been trying to implement this but not seeing any of the contexts as drop down, is this correct or no? <Command Name="EraseConfig" Value="write erase${CRLF}Yes"/> <Command Name="SaveConfig" Value="write memory"/> <Command Name="Version" Value="show version"/> <Command Name="ChangeToSystemContext" RegEx="#" Value="changeto…

Forgot to mention. We're on the latest version of NPM also 2022.4.1 (dec 14 2022 release).
-
Ah cheers, will note this stuff down also. We're hopefully upgrading our VM soon, so this would eliminate the poller - as this is something i've been suspecting also. Thanks.
-
Bookmarked! Thanks man.
-
Righto thanks, i'll keep that in mind. Don't want further issues on our hands once we get the go ahead
-
Right i'll pass on the info and see if we can work out what's going on. Thanks again for all your help, you've been a great help, will let you know where we get with it. We are thinking of taking this opportunity to upgrade to the latest version as an excuse; not that it will help if the routing issue is still in play, but…
-
Ye to be honest i'm learning this stuff myself and more in charge of Solarwinds than the backend stuff at the moment. I'm not the one that upgraded the router but have been asked to investigate into the Solarwinds side of things, just in case it's something really simple. I'm checking the config and I'm not 100% what i'm…
-
If I had just purchased and set up solarwinds from scratch and was immediately getting this problem, is there anything you can think of immediately in a routers config that would cause something like this?
-
Righto thanks for your help, really appreciate it. We'll check through the config and see where we get. No we don't have it unfortunately
-
Right i've just found out (sorry wasn't aware of this, starting to narrow this down now hopefully!) We've recently upgraded the router (to a Cisco 6509) which is much better spec than the old one. It's got to be something to do with this, but it isn't explaining the packet loss from Solarwinds only. As far as i'm aware,…
-
Interesting thanks. Will definitely look into this more.
-
Phew! Good good, thanks again
-
Right let me fill you in with some more information, to help you see the bigger picture (just in case you can see something clearer in this). It's pretty much all the devices that are loosing packets not just one or two and it varies from minute to minute. I have a script on the summary page showing devices in warning…

Thanks for the reply mesverrum I'm still confused over this. I'm not sure if you have read any of the other replies. Some are saying I need additional licensing and are others are not. I want to set up an entirely different VM and make it the additional poller, for load purposes. You are saying I will need an APE license?…
