SQL Sentry repo is going to be located in one domain and all of the DBA team that would be using the client are located in a different domain. Is that going to cause problems?
-
Excellent I will use this as a starting point.
-
Oh yeah!!!!
-
I was able to find and add it. The patching team and the DBA team are going to be very happy!!! Thanks again!!
-
That looks like it worked I just need to find the name of the component so I can show it in the table. THANK YOU!!! Just one of the many reasons THWACK is amazing!!!
-
The last two screen shots I posted - two down nodes and the five unknowns show up
-
I went in and removed component is equal to 1 and updated it to SQL Server Agent and I think I am getting somewhere. I can create different tables for the different SQL service monitors. Unless I am missing something. Thank you for all your assistance so far!!!
-
Thanks! If I do that it grabs something else and does not grab any of the sql components I setup.
-
I was doing some testing and if I listed the actual components from the SAM monitor the components displayed.
-
I left the AND in and changed it to Status is not equal to up and it gave me unrelated components that were not equal to up lol
-
I did some adjustments to the data source picker and I am getting data into the table. Ideally I am looking to only have nodes with issues show up in this table - if that is possible. Thanks for your help!!!
-
Advanced lets me grab component type
-
It only gives me component ID, disabled, name, and status
-
So we are using the custom table to report on components that contain SQL in them via the data source picker. Does that look correct below?
-
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thank you!!!

This is the part I am confused about. So if I setup NOC view for a dashboard and then select left-handed side tab - it will rotate through the different NOC views?
-
I know it is only with the classic dashboards. That made me a little sad..lol

I am a huge novice in PS. I tried running it but it did not like something. We patched this server over the weekend and that seemed to be part of this issue 2016 KB5008207. Adding $stat to the script seemed to fix it but all I can get as a return is 0. I think I am more confused now than when I started. Thanks for your…

Greetings. I have run into this same issue but I am a bit confused at what was added to the PS script to fix it. I added the $stat=[int]$stat to the script and it works but I am stuck at it returning the 0. I tried adding the f ($Status.status -match "PostIncidentReviewPublished") {$Stat = 98} to the script and it still…

This article explains the Linux side really well I think. support.solarwinds.com/.../Configure-SNMPV3-on-Linux-for-SAM-polling

WOW. I have setup Orion SQL AG monitors for all our SQL AG's and the DBA team will love this dashboard. Thank you!
-
Wow that was super easy. I thought I had tried this before and Solarwinds said no LOL. Thanks!!!

I have two custom SAM monitors that I am trying to alert on and instead of making two separate alerts I was wondering if I could use OR so I could alert on both of them instead of two separate alerts. The nodes are 99% the same but one has an additional service on it so I had to create two SAM monitors instead of one. Just…

Thank you! We are in the process of migrating DHCP servers as well and have some interesting items come up. I will dig into this and if I have any additional questions Will let you know.
-
OMG YES Please!!!!!
-
After some digging around.... DNS is your friend until it is not... LOL
-
Congratulations on the new job they are getting an amazing person on their team. Thank you for all the FUN and assistance over the years!!!

Another question @"jblankjblank" how do you share out maps or let others see them? I am trying to find out how to do this but I can't seem to find this info. Thanks!
-
I also went into each node and checked to see if all of the interfaces were in Orion and some of them were missing. I selected them and I just went in and checked and things started connecting. So that was easy for a few of these. Thanks!

Thank you for the info!!
