It keeps getting more and more interesting and confusing. This was the https check. http check

I was testing the Orion Observability - Main Polling Engine and one is reporting down and one is reporting disabled and the site is still up. I am going to run the configuration wizard and see if it is a website issue.

I gave that a try and no go. Would the logs on this be C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\APM? I can see the account login to the node when I test but AppInsights will not install. Let me see if I can get another SAM monitor applied.
-
After a bit of some review the part of the script that reached out to Solarwinds works and our script needs a little work.
-
I was going through the Audit logs yesterday hoping to find something there. Thank you for your assistance. Once we figure this out I will come on back and let everyone know.
-
Ahhh ok that makes sense. Would there be a log Solarwinds when an account access Solarwinds and does something? We have an automation that goes in and unmanages nodes for patching. Is this logged somewhere in Solarwinds? Thanks!!
-
We are looking for Windows Nodes that do not have SentinelOne installed. So almost there.
-
Thank you for the link and for the added screen shot. And just a thank you for helping out!!! Once this is completed you will also need to restart the SolarWinds Orion Module Engine.
-
Please let me know when you decide to demo this.

We are going start with a refresher on naming conventions next week. That and we have grown through acquisition so we have quite a few legacy nodes using legacy naming conventions so it is a bit fun. And thanks for the pointers I appreciate it!

Part 1 - It took me a few times to read over it and it made sense. I disabled the defaults system wide but this is really interesting and will be doing some testing with these Part 2 - I have one basic alert that sets who the node owner for each prod node. I also was able to configure a report to run and let me know which…

It is the simple things like this that make me really appreciate THWACK.
-
Thank you for your insights on this. What sounds not too complicated can usually get interesting with all the different variables out there. After looking at this for a bit I changed directions and started using the alerting engine to assign custom properties.

WOW. That map looks nice. Kind of make mine look like grade school maps lol.
-
Clear out the cache on your browser. Once I did that it fixed maps loading. Sometimes I can be my own end user. LOL

I am starting out with infrastructure equipment and then will expand to my VMware Centers then location based. The Parent was the Meraki Security device and the children I added to the group are all the other Meraki devices. If the security device goes down or we cannot get to it the rest of the Meraki items behind the…

I did create a few groups manually using the Meraki dashboard. The next ones I am going to work on setting up an automatic query to add members to groups. I will probably disable the automatic dependencies since it creates a whole bunch of one to one dependencies instead of the parent and children dependencies. Thank you!

Another update and still having the issue. Some agents do not have the issue while others need a kick.
-
We are finally moving forward with our new Modern Dashboards using Intelligent maps and will finally going to decomm (or try to) our old Network Atlas and old maps.
-
Thanks! Moving to subscription would cost us quite a bit more than our current modular licensing.
-
Yeah. I a created a new one and then moved the widgets to the new dashboard and was able to tab it. I guess it is good we decided until 2025 to be the year of new maps and dashboards.
-
I answered my own question lol. I checked the nodes and they have Hyper-V services enabled. Now to figure out who or why they did it.
-
Thank you!!! I was trying to do this via SDK and ran into issues. I watched your video, downloaded the PS and BOOM imported!!
-
I would go to 2024.4.1 and wait for the first patch to come out for 2025.1.0. Let everyone else figure out the bugs.
-
I was going to ask this question again giving it a bump since this looks like it is creeping over to my MPE.
-
The simple answer is AGs.
-
Thank you!!!
-
Thank you! I will definitely let you know how it goes.

The poor documentation on the how to setup the authentication part is what is tripping me up. I am trying to figure out how API monitoring works and the data you get out of it. Right now I do not have a specific question I am just trying to figure out the best way to get my head wrapped around APIs. DPA has some good docs…

My issue is I do not understand what an API does/information/etc and we have various APIs here but I do not know where to start. I found this and started working on DPA API since it looks like there is some good documents around the DPA API -…
