Nevermind. We figured this out,
-
Ahh ok. I actually moved things this week using your post above. So I am all good. Thanks and have a good weekend!!!
-
I was running a check to see if there are any issues for the next update I am going to install and saw this. Not sure if this will be an issue or not. I tested things and it all worked. Thanks!
-
Thank you both!!
-
Interesting. I wonder why the ServiceNow team did not let me know that bit of information. I opened up SWQL and ran a query for alerts and it did register here but nothing kicked off in the Application Monitor and everything looks up and happy.
-
Thanks! When I am doing active troubleshooting I remember where they are. When things are working well and I do not have to dig the poof out of my head.
-
The 1200ms latency is a bug in the Solarwinds software. Still no idea why SWJobEngineWorker2x64.exe is doing this every few hours on my APE.
-
This is really amazing. We are trying to come up with some ideas to update/change our old network atlas map that we have for data center and remote locations. This is very helpful in getting my brain to think about how to do it with modern maps.
-
For our user Dashboard links we created a site 24x7 dashboard and added the link under My Dashboards. It is not integrated but any end user using My Dashboards will be able to bring up the site 24x7 link in Solarwinds.
-
I am using this link to adjust fonts and see the additional changes you can do to the card - adaptivecards.io/designer

Thanks! I deleted my first attempt at this and re-created it and it is working. I was asking about the JSON in the workflow because I have a different workflow setup that we put the JSON in the flow and the alert. I like what you did because the JSON is not in the flow it is in the alert.
-
Do you only put the JSON code in the alert side in Solarwinds? Or does it go into the work flow as well? I have one work flow kind of working but it is setup differently and the JSON files are in the workflow as well as the alert.
-
Thank you. I am learning that there are different ways to get work flows from Solarwinds to Teams. This helps quite a bit and I finally am getting time to read and digest all of the work flow items.

If you are not happy with this move let Microsoft know - feedbackportal.microsoft.com/.../80ed6877-b642-ef11-b4ad-000d3a7aba8b

We have made some progress and I can get Solarwinds to Teams but the formatting is off. Hopefully will get some time to read up on this and get some adjustments done so it works.
-
I had to delete the accounts and add them back and it works. Not sure why but that Is what I did to get cloud polling working.
-
Figured out my Custom Property issue - I had it set to Nodes not Interfaces.
-
The issue was component instead of Application. I setup the alert using application and it worked like I wanted it to. Took a little bit but it started coming back to me.
-
Yes that makes sense. I just did not want to update and mid-update have an issue. Once we get Orion on new nodes DPA is next up.
-
The bonus is what stung us - the node was up but the apps were showing unknown not down.
-
I looked at the show SWQL and never thought about testing it that way. Thank you!!!
-
I have been able to kind of piece things together from when I asked this back in 2017 Generate report that will list the alert and the associated email address that is getting this alert. Still looking for format it better but have a bit of a start
-
Thanks! And I got a little 4 happy and this should have been 2024.1.
-
Thank you!! I definitely like this over another alert. I checked the message log and found what is used when a volume and interface is added and created additional parts of the report.
-
Thank you!! I am going to have a look at this and let you know how it goes.
-
The scheduler is definitely odd. I am probably going to disable the scheduler and see if I can use PowerShell. I may just use the Time of Day in the alert and only enable the alert when I need it on a work with the red dot on the node.
-
I have two of these monitors and alerts I am working on. I have one that is only looking at the folder on Saturdays from 12AM-1AM and then another one that is M-F from 730PM to 8PM. I found this on THWACk and used it Current Setup - Each powershell monitor is set to 0 for Warning and Critical. (I have been changing things…
-
What about using the Solarwinds Unmanage Task Editor? I am trying to follow instructions on how to set it up. I am not really clear on the set duration part. I have something I need to monitor on just Saturday morning and the task editor is not super clear.
-
Thank you for explaining all of this!!
-
Thank you. I was looking for something like that.
