Nope not at all. I have spoke to quite a few of the higher ups in the support and they all say really nice things but nothing really changes. I think I have had some of these tickets open for at least a month maybe more at this point.

Oh do not get discouraged - I am terrible on certification tests. My only gripe with these is when you get your results at the end and you cannot do a screen shot of the results. So I am trying to find the configuration instructions for IPAM I can find how to install it and requirements but what I am looking for is how to configure when adding DHCP servers to IPAM. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. thanks.

Yeah that has been my experience. After 2 or 3 weeks someone gets back to me and lets me know its a bug. Like you said how long have we been without it? LOL

Will be interesting to see if SCP escalation team is actual support. Anything I have needed help with lately support has actually made the issue worse.. which is kind of par for the course.

Update ran very nicely. The actual update of all of the Solarwinds software took about an hour. Had a few issues with updating some of the agents but that has happened in the past and usually a restart of the service on the node fixes it. Now to have a look at the new features in the update.

I would not hold my breath on that. I applied the 'early release' version of this HF and it did not fix a thing in my case so I had to undo it and reboot things to get them to work correctly. Still waiting to hear back from support.

Apply the hotfix and let me know if it works. Prior to changing the settings from streaming back to buffered the system would work for 36 hours or so and stop working. After I did the change it ran for 5-6 days before Orion stopped working. I applied HF 3 so hopefully my worries are gone and hopefully so will yours.

That worked!! I have just dabbled in SWQL a little bit but more and more I am thinking I need to try to work on SWQL a bit more. If I put this query in the alert when it fires it will add that information to the alert and I can edit what I would like in the alert?

wluther I am not sending the events to Orion. I have the monitor checking the event log and then returning a yes/no to Orion. I went down this path with them when support told me to HF NCM - you had to patch your systems fully to get the HF for NCM. I have a ticket open for this same issue where I did not want to update things and just apply the HF.

My sales person just responded back asking if there was anything in particular that I wanted to go over and I let him know we will be discussing how they plan on fixing support. If this turns out to be a glorified sales call I will end it and start looking for a new monitoring solution.

Yes polling is affected during the maintenance. Currently we have SW in just one of our locations but when the connection goes down between the two locations the one sends out all the alerts like it all went down but realistically there was ISP maintenance or we were doing some kind of internal work.
