It is possible that you might be able to use the Alert Engine to call an external program or vb script to accomplish this. Evans Martin --- Evans L. Martin - IS Analyst Metro Govt. of Nashville, TN & Davidson County 615.862.4066 Office 615.862.6288 Fax AOL AIM: Martek01

Just export a .jpg from Google Earth and use it as the background for your Solar Winds maps. It is very easy to do and looks great. We use either Google pictures or our own GIS data depending on what we are trying to show. Evans Martin --- Evans L. Martin - IS Analyst Metro Govt. of Nashville, TN & Davidson County…

Then I can easily run queries that tell me if an individual node is found in to be alerted…

Have you tried running the configure/install script again? I believe it checks the database schema and might correct the issue for you. Evans Martin --- Evans L. Martin - IS Analyst Metro Govt. of Nashville, TN & Davidson County 615.862.4066 Office 615.862.6288 Fax AOL AIM: Martek01

We have been using Google Earth for some time now. The way I implemented it is to save a static image from Google Earth and use it as a background. An easy, although not so pretty way, to edit custom properties via the web is to install UTE (Universal Table Editor) in a protected directory on your webserver and allow direct table editing of the custom property fields. Here's a link to UTE. We use the heck out of it here. www.codeproject.com/.../ute.asp Evans Martin…

I concur! I would be awesome if pinging and polling with SNMP were seperated. We have firewalls that we would like to monitor but can't because they will not respond to pings.
