  • Oh, I didn't realize there wasn't a limit with the full version. Well I guess for now I'll continue using it until it breaks again, hopefully within the next few months we'll have a DBA that can possibly look at this for us. Thanks for the advice Matthew!
  • My concern is that once we spend the few thousand on a new SQL license if it will still be enough for SolarWinds. Before I recreated the database we were using NPM 10.1 and didn't have a problem with it for 2 years. Now I upgraded to 10.3.1 and in less than a month we're having database issues while monitoring about 30…
  • Thanks Pavel, I have tried that command and it didn't help me. I've never dealt with SQL databases before and SolarWinds customer support is basically telling me I need a DBA to do this. I'm not sure what to do now... I don't understand how I'm having this problem when the database was recently recreated about a month ago.
  • Ok, thanks a lot Matthew for the help!
  • I just noticed this information in the web console: 1/9/2013 4:03 AM Indexes with fragmentation over 90% found during DB maintenance. 1/9/2013 4:02 AM Syslog reached 4235769 rows, which is above warning threshold of 1000000. For more information, see SolarWinds Knowledge Base.
  • There may be a statement on the interface, NTA takes this statement into consideration? I'll have to check for it tomorrow, thanks for the advice!
  • Thanks for your response Matthew. The database was completely deleted and recreated in mid-December so I'm not sure if the recent database retention settings I made would have removed that much data, if any.
  • First of all, thank you Zizi for your response, it was very informative and helpful. I have a new question regarding SNMPv2c though. I'm trying to setup a device that measures the temperature in my company's server room and have successfully got NPM to recognize the device and it's Ethernet port but it doesn't seem like…
  • hh1977, some other devices on the network have that statement which lead me to believe it was needed for any SNMP information to get back to NPM. Michael Melton, so is this statement "snmp-server group MyGroup v3 priv match exact read OrionNPM" enough to enable NPM to poll the device and receive information from it? Does…
  • I'm having a similar problem. My interface is 100Mbps but the internet link data travels across is only 30mbps. I go into (Interface Details -> Edit Interface -> Custom Bandwidth) and change the bandwidth to 30mbps but the information is not reflected in charts. Any help would be appreciated!
  • Well I found the answer to my question. I had to go under NPM > System Monitor. I then clicked on Alerts and then "Configure Basic Alerts". This only leads me to more questions though... I'm going to do some more research...
  • Thanks for the information Callahan. This probably sounds bad but just until a few days ago I didn't realize the Report Writer and UnDP existed! You can imagine my frustration of going through the web console trying to figure out how to ping a new device... I read over documentation and not sure why this wasn't more…
