Thanks for the input- We hear you and are looking into this further.

How many elements as well as nested maps are contained in the map? It would be really interesting to understand what causes the failure to load from the map directory. Are there any permission restrictions on this folder? There is a Microsoft application call "procmon" located here…

You can add interface descriptions to nodes http://www.solarwinds.com/CirrusDocs/CirrusAdministratorGuide.1.115.htm and custom properties in Cirrus http://www.solarwinds.com/CirrusDocs/CirrusAdministratorGuide.1.35.htm and when you run Find Address this info will be in the results.

I'll try to come up with one today. The 2 Hotfixes have addressed most of the permissions issues, yet we are aware that others continue to have ongoing and new issues.
-
Thanks- I'll look into this for you....

Could you post a screenshot? Reply-> Options > upload file. It might help if we can see what you are seeing? Are you using passthrough authentication? Do you see red 'x' s?

Go to C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion and delete the file called MapMaker.Toolbars. Now when you open Map Maker a new toolbar file will be created (MapMaker.Toolbars) and the tool bar should reappear.

If you are starting to see gaps in data then run through some of these steps... www.solarwinds.com/.../gaps.htm
-
Try running through the Configuration Wizard to see if that helps.
-
Yes I do. It seems to me that it's a bug.

Could you run some diagnostics? The Diagnostics Utility can be found in C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe [assuming a default install path]. Run this and within the results look in the DB-> AlertDefinitions.csv file to determine if these definitions are in fact in the DB.
