Yes correct. To monitor the FCports on the switch, mainly status(up or down), errors, utilization, dropped frames and etc...you will need to create separate custom mib pollers for every single port on the switch and countless additional pollers for every property on each port.related links:

Miron, To remove this extra tab locate the My Computer c:\\->Inetpub-> Sloarwinds folder. In C:\InetPub\SolarWinds Locate any instances of a wireless module folder and delete them. Refresh the Web browser and that should clear out the extraneous tab. Mark Wiggans SolarWinds Support

Generally SNMP is treated as a low priority. You might check for access-lists possibly blocking SNMP? You can alert based on the interface being in an unknown state. This will trigger whenever SNMP doesn't respond. Also, a simple restart of the Windows SNMP Service should clear these out.
