Hello Lee- How are you downloading the configs? ssh1, or ssh2, telnet, or snmp/tftp?
-
That error was previously resolved during SP3. I'm not sure why you would still receive this- you might want to open a support ticket or read through some of these posts for a workaround thwack.com/.../SearchResults.aspx or re-apply SP3. I have not seen the SNMP screen shot before.

Check your date / time settings on the database server, and on the polling engines as well - if they don't match up this issue can occur.
-
Try increasing the Transient Period within your Subnet Scan settings. IP Address Manager Settings > Subnet Scans
-
Run the Diagnostics Utility which can be found in C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion\SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe In the results created -drill into the DB folder and look in the AlertLog.csv for details.
-
You will need to uninstall from the add remove programs the Toolset version currently on the computer. Then go to the directory and delete the folder usually found here: C:\program files\solarwinds\Engineer's Toolset or Engineer Edition if v8 Then reboot and then begin your new install of the licensed copy.

Seems like you have done the correct steps- see this thread for suggestions- be sure and run the config. wizard after deleting the instances in the inetpub to rebuild the website

If you want Orion NPM to use SNMPv3 to monitor the added node, provide the following SNMP Credentials, Authentication, and Privacy/Encryption settings: •SNMPv3 Username •SNMPv3 Context •SNMPv3 Authentication Method •SNMPv3 Authentication Method Password/Key •SNMPv3 Privacy/Encryption Method •SNMPv3 Privacy/Encryption…

In the past when I have seen this happen, it would require a reinstall of the Custom MIB poller service. The easiest way to do this is to re-run the configuration wizard. Let me know if this helps.

There is a document for this here: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/MovingYourOrionNPMDatabase.pdf
-
Currently that is not possible. The RW capabilities are not fully integrated with the IPAM reports.
-
There is a fix for this. You will need to register this .dll Instructions:Stop all the Orion services.Replace the SolarWinds.Orion.Core.Data.dll in C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion with the one in the attached zip file.Start everything back up again. When database maintenance runs again, it should work this time.
-
Unfortunately not at this time.

Those numbers should be fluctuating except for the Max Outstanding Polls 900 which is a static number. (The number of oustanding polls Orion will continue to poll until it goes above 900) The other three appear at the time of the screenshot the "SNMP Status Polling Index 782 out of 1078" was simply polling # 782. Hope…

Pete- Do you have other modules installed and are they also v 8.1? When you preview the reports are they visible? I'm curious to know more about your "inherited" setup including permissions, etc.. Do you know if the 8.1 hotfixes were applied before you took over?
-
Could you verify which tables are the largest? If it is the trapvarbinds table see this thread- for resolution.

is this version 8.5? Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing? Reply-> Options -> Add/Update

More than likely you will need to reassign those nodes to the new Engine ID. Below is a query you can run to update the NODES table in the database. Make sure you stop all services prior to doing this, as otherwise the database changes will not take. First, go to Start -> Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Advanced Features…

You could create a custom property for those specific nodes and then filter off those to display on the summary view. This tutorial has offers a similar example. www.solarwinds.com/.../Orion8CustomProperties.html

I'm running on Windows XP with SQL2005 express. Have you always run this on XP? This is not a supported platform. There were job scheduler issues addressed in the previous APM service packs 1 & 2. Have you applied all 3 SPs with the same result?

I nave an existing install of Orion, 7.5, I moved the database to a windows 2000 server running SQL 2000 SP4. Installed 8.5.1 on a new server and ran through the configuration wizard, pointed to the server, it ran through everything OK, setup SolarWindsNPM as the user then when it finished and tried to bring up Orion, I…
