Unfortunately ICMP can not be turned off without monitoring the node. This is the way Orion has been coded to tell whether or not a node is down.

Have you tried going into the SQL surface area configuration to enable the remote connections to both TCP/IP and Named Pipes and restart the server.- If that does not help there are some other suggestions within this KB to try. Could be several causes. What are you polling interval settings? How long has this issue occurred>? Is this a new problem? What is your DB size? Orion version? How many interfaces are you monitoring?

We have seen issues where the Nodes Resources on the Summary page are timing out. Can you try removing this resource from the Summary Page to see if the timeout remains?
