You can import the Nodes form Orion after the installation of Cirrus by using the Import Wizard. It seems you are trying to point to the Orion DB during the setup, hence the error. Here are the steps for this http://www.solarwinds.com/CirrusDocs/CirrusAdministratorGuide.1.30.htm

Collect some diags- by Running this executable C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\SolarWinds.Diagnostics.exe - and from the results look in Logfiles -> swAlert.log(s) for clues

The Report Scheduler asks for a URL which is normally the URL of a report through the Orion website. If you use the report scheduler, you should be able to include additional web pages in the report. That page just needs to be a URL you point to. That's really the best workaround for the time being...though it has been a…

The error message is complaining that a file is not found (system.io.filenotfoundexception). If you will look in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\JobEngine\Logs\SolarWinds.SchedulingService_v1_1.txt (or may be SolarWinds.SchedulingService_v1_1.txt.1) there should be an error that describes…

That should be fine. Note that when upgrading from version 8.0.2 or earlier, database changes required to improve performance can cause the database updates to take longer. For example, a database of 10GB can take over an hour to upgrade. Also backup the Maps and Reports folders to be safe.

I believe read only admin, as a general rule.

A possible suggestion for when you see the "No SNMP Support" displayed on the device details - even though if you right click and select "Validate SNMP community string" the community string will validate. 1. Turn on node Monitoring (the little lightning bolt-like icon third from the left on the menu - wait some time…

Is there anything in particular I need to be aware of before upgrading from SQL Server 2005 to 2008, or is it just a straightforward SQL upgrade? See this doc. for some steps on how to achieve this- http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/MovingYourOrionNPMDatabase.pdf

The post you are referring is not something SolarWinds officially supports. That workaround was posted by a customer. Kiwi Web Access is designed to be hosted by Ultidev Web Cassini. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/157018#157018

Is this with XP? Have you had a previous installation on this box? Is there a previous website folder located at C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds? If you do not have this folder you can try to create the website manually. go into the IIS Manager and create a new website called Solarwinds. IIS will ask you for the location and then…

This will not be displayed while you are in the mapmaker. Try viewing the map from the Orion website to see current node status.

That is correct- the seedfile.txt method only works with SNMP enabled devices.

That feature within the System Mgr. is for the previous Application Monitor installations and not the new Application Performance Monitor. All of the new APM features are utilized via the website.

Initially you can try to delete the interface and then run the DB maintenance and check the website (after doing a hard refresh). It appears that this node you have is still in the Nodes table in the database. Although this is not expected behavior, it does occasionally happen. You can manually delete it from the nodes…

An upgrade in the number of licenses should not take very long. If you are upgrading from a previous version then you would need to consider the size of your DB- etc.. As for the time zone (I'm assuming you saw this from the Help file License Manager must be installed on a computer with the correct time. If the time on the…
