Is your backup time frame set to a weekly? If so, change the granularity to something bigger than a week to see data. There is a check box "Only save if configs changed", if this setting is checked in your download config job, NCM won't count that as a backup. This is a bug that is scheduled to resolved in 5.1.

Guru- URL Links have now been fixed- (crossing fingers)

That is correct, at least this is not a supported request. Using the Basic Alert Variables should work, so you can get details such as ${IP}, ${NodeID}, ${CPULoad} This has been previously requested here so this might change in the future.

With an upgrade to 9.1 you cannot use another folder/directory from the current 8.5 installation. The upgrade needs to occur in the same folder/directory. As for the NCM not installing on E", this may be a bug. Let me see what I can find out.

Steve- is this the script you are trying to use?

The person in particular that would have an answer for you is attending our booth at Interop this week. I'll forward him this post for possibly some kind of delayed response.

Are you looking for (if 3 nodes go down) as opposed to3 applications down?

These will be updated on the OAG very soon- Advanced Alerts Creation and Management Alerts are generated for network events, and they may be triggered by the simple occurrence of an event or by the crossing of a threshold value for a monitored Interface, Volume, or Node. Alerts can be set to notify different people on…

That screenshot looks like an NPM Alert and not Storage Manager. If you are using NPM see this guide: or this video tutorial: http://www.solarwinds.com/resources/videos/video-tutorial-orion-advanced-alerts.html You should be able to change it in the SMTP server tab in your screenshot. That is where is is pulling from. Let…

It appears that the RTM Functionality specifically requires the IP address as the parameter and does not accept the host name.
-
First try running through the entire configuration wizard- If this does not help resolve then shutdown all the services related to SW/Orion and reboot the server.

If you're interested in WUG, then the appropriate comparison from SolarWinds is ipMonitor, not Orion. WUG and ipMonitor are both targeted at smaller customers without much need for scalability or extensibility and who are more generalist in their needs. Orion is intended for customers focused on the networking side, with…

hmm. You can try an Add/Remove Programs -> REPAIR to see if this clears up. If not give this a try...bring up a command prompt and go to the Windows\system32 subdirectory and type the following: C:\WINDOWS\system32>regsvr32 OrionReportView8.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32>regsvr32 OrionReportView8.ocx This may register the needed…

A question though... How do I get the modules within Interface details to have a default time sample of "Today" instead of "2 Hours" to match the interface graphs? I can however change the interface graphs to 2 hours but I like the 24 hour sample time. Since my post was hijacked can someone please respond to the questions…
