https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-solarwinds-port-requirements.htm It doesn't seem to be clear on the documentation but I would assume 443.

Maybe I misunderstand the question but Kiwi Syslog runs on Windows not as an appliance, so it will run on Nutanix since it supports Windows installs. Install guide - https://documentation.solarwinds.com/archive/pdf/kss/kss_installation_guide.pdf

Sounds like a strange one, it would probably be easier and faster to deploy a new APE and then assign nodes from the problematic APE to it, than troubleshooting the issue. Log a case with support and see what they think.

Install Additional Polling Engines, if your licensing allows it, as Adam mentioned 10-12k elements on the MPE would be better on performance. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/install-scalability-engine.htm…

https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/APE-upgrade-from-2020-2-6-to-2023-4-2-error-in-installation Follow this guide to solve this issue. I had the an error deploying APE's, so I uninstalled the SW Administration service from the MPE and then installed the version in C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers…

Sometimes the long way is the short way redeploy would be faster than trying to troubleshoot.
-
Log a support case or redeploy the APE. Found this forum Solarwinds information service v3 stopped but I don't see an installer in C:\ProgramData\Solarwinds\Installers for SWIS on our APE.

Have you tried to repair Solarwinds Platform from Control Panel?
-
Yeah we did an in place upgrade from 2012 to 2019 and all was fine. Done many in place upgrades on other systems and they have been fine.
-
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/upgrade-overview#which-version-of-windows-server-should-i-upgrade-to 2016 will go straight to 2022 without having to upgrade to 2019 first.
-
Is there any specific reason to migrate to new servers, can you not run in-place upgrades on 2016 systems to 2022?
-
Thanks for the information. I've only been using Solarwinds for the last 6 months, so I am unaware that NCM was originally built for Cisco. The reason why I said that is because we recently moved from Cisco to Fortigate firewalls and Fortigate used a conversion tool for the configs.
-
Many thanks! I'll check it out when I have a gap.
-
Thanks again!

Log a support case with Solarwinds support.
-
they don't always, but get everyone you can to upvote it.

I guess that will be fine.
-
Even if they had a conversion tool to convert the .config to xml format would be useful.
-
Create a feature request for this and link it here as I believe this will be useful for others, I will upvote it

From what I have read on Thwack forums this is not possible. Can I promote an additional poller to be the primary? Set default polling engine?

Thanks @"KMSigma.SWI" there is no rush, when ever you get the chance. Appreciate your help!
-
I'm assuming you get the same from the UI Settings -> My Deployment -> Diagnostics tab Probably best to log a SR with Support.
-
@"KMSigma.SWI" could you possibly assist, I believe the report template was grabbed from your Muted Element Report
-
use SQL Management Studio if you are using MS SQL. https://www.sqlshack.com/how-to-collect-performance-and-system-information-in-sql-server/
-
Could always trial DPA or use SSMS to see performance analytics.
-
holding thumbs!
-
log a support case with Solarwinds

Are you perhaps using VMware to host this system? If so check on the VM -> Edit settings -> VM Options tab, expand VMware Tools -> check if Synchronize Time with Host is checked. If this is the case you may want to check your time settings on your host and sync them with your timeserver.

is that .NET framework 8 on your system? Looks like the prerequisite is .NET framework 7. documentation.solarwinds.com/.../kssng_1-2_system_requirements.htm
