ooooh like both movies for different reasons. Minority Report is often overlooked, but they really tried to guess on the future tech - @"tinmann0715" commented about the ads. I remember hearing about some of the other tech like the non lethal weapons. Still gotta go with Matrix for the win. 

Never underestimate the ability of a human to create a bad query with awful and possibly irrelevant joins, not matter how good the db design or overall performance. Saying this a non-dba who has humbly asked a real dba to save me from myself.

It's baaaack! If you are new to SolarWinds or THWACK, this is a free online event that is worth your time. You will get to see, hear, and listen to stories, how to's and be able to stump the experts. (The real experts, not me!) The chats are often the best parts as you can interact and realize that you are not alone.

I wish I could have been there! For those who have had the chance to work with @"WJMuhle" - he is amazing. Several year ago, I had that opportunity to learn from him during a crisis moment with our SolarWinds environment. If anyone is wondering about going to a SWUG and have that chance to go - take it.

You 'can' do one of the options. It is not recommended, but you can do it. The other three are definite no-no's. But yeah, I would not consider that one option as an answer either. I have used it for very very small systems, and an occasional test of a feature. 

While we all need lightsabers to light fireworks on holidays, gimme the teleporter. I want to avoid traffic jams and the airport lobbies! 

Its all good until a nerf dart flies past upper management. Unless they brought their own nerf into the office... 

Sadly, flying to London is not in my budget. But since I don't have a budget to worry about, its all good. BUT if you are able to get the SWUG, GO! The actual SWUG is free, and you get to hear about what you can do with SolarWinds, and more importantly ask direct questions to SolarWinds employees and fellow attendees.

GO GO GO! If you can - get there. These are actually free events and you get to see the real live human alter ego's that often post on THWACK! Besides, you get out of the office and learn that you are not alone.

Ok, this is nice. I give it two thumbs up. Coming from the Loggly camp, this ability plus all the integration between SWO and HCO... Yeah. This is really worth looking into. 

Bring a friend or fly me out there! If you have not gone to one go! Just read over some of the commentary on THWACK by others who went if you need endorsements/more reasons to go. You will get to ask live questions and interact with others who have most likely suffered some of the same issues and solved a few of them. 

Single thought: TAGS!!!! YES!!! Other thoughts - can we pull tags and report on them and their assigned resources? Rather, Can i just pull a list of tags and resources?

What killed your productivity?? Umm where do I start? LOL. Love the title. Best answer - lack of coffee killed my productivity. 

I was able to attend a swug several years ago. It was great to meet the geeks and have questions answered directly. 

Might need to add an Air Gapped option to these sort of polls... 

Its all of the above. Handling performance between cloud/non-cloud, multiple datacenters, scaling growth without paying more than your company's net worth, and keeping the DBA team from running away from the office and screaming random comments about the data....
