Wow this one is really harsh...

If only you offered free airfare..... If you are in the UK, or can get to the SWUG, please try it. You will get a lot of information about and can ask questions directly. It is worth it.

These are ... AWESOME! They bring tears of joy to my eyes.

IT is email with a mix of the all of the above. I truly want to look more at webhooks with something like slack or teams. Let the support personnel subscribe to the channels to get the relevant alerts to them and they can chat inside the channel then. Honestly, it is also a last ditch effort to stop teammates from creating…

BUMP! We use a lot of custom properties, but they vary per node. Just listing the top three or four alphabetically takes up screen space. It does not help our users. Groups might work - not that I really want to create very large dynamic groups.
-
Good catch. This might explain something that I have noticed with magic tricks involving multiple interfaces that come and go. Bumped. I thought it might be jobs that timed out. Interesting.
-
That comment is about using XML path is to add multiple values to a single variable. Great trick - gonna try that out. BUT these are still just swql and sql variables, so do not let that throw you off.

Put me on the grumpy list for todays question. There should be two correct answers to todays question. You need both to actually have the alert anomaly feature working. My gut had the answer you wanted. My brain - but wait- you need to set this up first... Happy Monday everyone. I will be getting some coffee now.
-
reduced need and simplified oversight might be the same... I have a funny feeling that day 18 may be all of the above.
-
They are looking for the vcenter name. Pretty sure its hiding somewhere in there.
-
Thank you for your vote. And no, I do not have any good news on this (yet). Given the implications of the user accounts required to make this work, this really needs to be implemented.
-
Not sure how I feel about this one, other than I understand the requirement for it. Custom properties help a lot, but you will attempt to poll data from that IP, unless you unmanage forever. I agree that this is not the most helpful thing. Instead of unmanage, another maintenance mode (basically unmanage with a new name)…

Not just NPM, but how about AppFlow support (NTA most likely??) *BUMP*

Will this player/recorder re-use WPM like Pingdom currently does?
-
I will admit 6 and 8 took the longest. I kept thinking about human cloning for number 6... Which has nothing to do with human cloning - I just keep asking for a clone of myself so he can back me up while I am on vacation.
-
Alternatively, can we add a permission checkbox to permit API usage to specific users/groups like we do for node management in the web console?
-
WPM does not get enough love. Please do this!
-
@"kpina" Ya know, looking at the answers for today's question about the SCP program, I kinda think all of the answers are correct.
-
Congratulations on the new role! Does this mean we can expect monthly challenges around video games????
-
HECK YEAH. The current discovery works, but it could be improved. I like this - separating the profile (what) from the Network (where) - that alone would be a godsend. Some of the advanced filtering to monitor nodes is good, but I like where @"Deltona" is going with this. PLEASE CONSIDER HIS IDEA!

Not sure if any robot toy can stand against the might of Optimus Prime!
-
Yes! - Please make it easier to sort and list specific ones on the pop up tool tips too. When you have lots of properties (we do) and lots of different uses (ditto) - having an easier way to sort them would be ideal. Ya know, this is one function that could use some love. I don't think the administration of them have…

hmm having more data added to netpath like traffic information? YES. Also the dynamic generated maps.
-
Definitely find it useful for network troubleshooting, system/app troubleshooting and love it since you can combine metrics. Makes for very useful displays of what happened and when. Adding them to dashboards is another reason to use them.
-
I think I see and agree with one of the common themes - time. Even with good upfront processes, its a never ending slugfest to remediate security and get other stuff done.
-
Interesting idea. I like it. How do you plan to do this? Would it be based on field names/tags such as 'address' or 'firstname.' And finally - would be it be user configurable for individual source groups? Thanks Marc

But that is a big part of why I want AI. It can run through the data, linked some of it together and make the basic assumptions for me. Then I can decide if I need to look deeper and even where to start looking based on the evidence provided by the AI. The simple stuff it can handle, but the complex stuff - just doing the…

Wow! I am kinda humbled as the people here are the ones I turn to when things get 'weird.' I heard something about free coffee though? Is that a thing and where do I go to get it? And if someone says a pub with fresh Guinness, I might have to take that trip.
-
It depends. Sometimes proactive - if the system and specific issues are well understood - you have predictive metrics and signs. I do not care if those signs involve measuring the perspiration on the lead engineers forehead. If that person is sweating - something is going wrong but it does not have a name or an incident…

YES. API activity needs this. Not just for service accounts, but a mix of troubleshooting and security events too.
