ugh - I am torn on this one. Many of the IP's are detected by NPM (usually all), and interface alerts can accomodate what happens when one of those IP's goes thwack in the night. Load balanced, virtual IP's get interesting - as do cluster ip's, I dont see a simple method around monitoring those. Usually full monitoring on…

The issue is not security itself, but whether you know HOW to provision security properly in your cloud environment. This extends to things like understanding HOW you to optimize your usage to lower costs, and if you have the resources (knowledge, experience, time) to properly deploy and maintain those cloud resources. All…

Rather old, but still a great idea. Can we make this the standard agent too? Deploy other packages like SAM monitors to it? It would prove more valuable than other visual tracing tools.

SQL, Azure SQL, Other SQL... SQL SQL SQL - whatever the App requires, the team wants, the devs want, whatever I am told to monitor...

aLTeReGo - so this means that products which dont see many updates (like WPM) will get a version nudge with every orion upgrade now? If so- thank you as that will make upgrades easier to plan.

Too many. One was a developer whose old CRT monitor started smoking. All he said was "Cool, look at this." then kept coding until I yanked the cord and ran it out of the office. Good guy, great coder, no sense of danger that day.

It is correct. I dont think that they name one of the options exactly - it is implied. THere is a third option, listed as wrong, but I seem to recall otherwise. (I think the world changed again and I missed it...)

PS v7 is recommended for the az module, so less of a failure, more of a loss. I have noticed the occasional command wants v7 and fails on v5. I will comment when I have a real list as I do not use powershell daily, beyond test-networkconnection & resolve-dnsname.

I will miss that crazy old logo. But looking forward to the content coming back. It was always a nice blend of a variety of topics.

Tough choice, going with the classic. Wargames.

The new dashboards are nice, but I would like NOC views and multiple tabs, then I can use them more.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I lost on both.... The agony!!!!!!!!! I did expect that Matrix would beat Office Space as that is more documentary than movie.

Loved today's question. You NEED TO USE CUSTOM PROPERTIES. They don't break the system like creating your tables and internal programming will. Yes, I have run into the second option. It was painful to clean up.

PLEASE IMPLEMENT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, Free Event AND FREE PRIZES?! If you were on the fence, sign up. It won't cost you money. You will have the chance to hear and interact with lots of SolarWinds experts during this event. If you are new to SolarWinds - it is more than worth your time. It may feel like a firehose effect, but you will get to see and hear a…

First - WOW Glad to be back! Thanks to Yum who assisted with the password reset! Hey @"RaviK" - your Chrome issue - are you using version 80? As it just dropped and contains wonderful new security updates. (They are a good thing, unless you happen to have naughty cookies.)

I love answer D to day two. That sums up several vendors pricing techniques...

email email email... Then SMS.. AHHHGGG. I discussed teams/slack at one point. Not much traction. I see the ability to quickly turn an alert notification into something more useful with communication method other than email. Yes, squadcast and other incident management systems are awesome, but I was just sticking to what…

If the AI can apply the runbook appropriately given the detected incident - then let it do it. I would rather an automated approach, applied correctly, then let it loose! Too many slow or bad decisions or worse, performing the wrong steps manually in a crisis. Automation will save you... Resistance is futile.

Umm, if you have not taken an SCP exam (and selected which one), you cannot get past the first page of today's survey. That might be by design, but if it is not, fair warning.

If you use SolarWinds, you live on THWACK... and coffee. Which means that you have probably chatted with Kristen to ask a question, get your points updated, and, um, get your points updated. Without Thwack, many of us would function with a lot more stress. Thank you, Kristen for keeping THWACK together and bringing some…

@"li-migration" BUMP! This seems to be a big one. Looking at similar concerns for vmax. Looks like the metric could be grabbed via powershell (SAM anyone?) or have the log output from a script sent to Loggly/Kiwi for analysis. None of this is straightforward, and each approach has downsides.

To misquote the MythBusters: I reject your solution and substitute my own! And now you have multiple software and teams trying to do the same thing. THat always goes well, and never causes any issues... cough cough Collaboration is a good thing, along with communication and simply working with other teams to ensure their…

you are not alone. I dont think the size of the org matters much. We all want to talk to someone we trust. This can be changed, but oh so slowly...

Not yet.

Click on the information links in the demo, they explain the graphs and look very very similar to the question.

Working on getting there! Hope to see many of the faces I have interacted with on thwack.

Hmm It dropped me. Dropped me way off the chart. Oh, You meant drop down list... Yeah, didn't see one. Does this mean I get a redo?
