  • SolarWinds are looking at it internally and one of the product managers has reached out to me for SNMP walk so they can build better support for the device. In the meantime: update to 3.6.0E and edit C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\HardwareHealth\SolarWinds.HardwareHealth.Pollers.dll.config and change "<add…
  • Hi Phil, I didn't hear from anyone. Unfortunately, we've abandoned the evaluation as we need to focus our time elsewhere. It's a shame the client seems to be so troublesome to get running on Windows 7. Thank you for your help however.
  • That was quick. Cisco TAC have identified that CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB:entSensorValue is reporting the correct sensor status of "1" for green/good. Based on conversation I've had with SolarWinds support it seems that Orion is using CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB:entSensorThresholdSeverity which is not the actual status. I've just…
  • Hi Phil, Thanks for your help on this, it appears we're getting closer to the root cause. I've just tried installing the Crystal Reports Runtime but end up with the following error (See below and attached error3.jpg). I've tried installing (by simple double click), right click run as admin and also under a Windows XP SP2…
  • I've updated a test switch to 3.6.0E, it doesn't resolve the issue with IgnoreCiscoNewEntityMib set to the default of false. The update does correctly resolve CSCun78227, but I now suspect there is a bug (possibly unidentified). About to start another TAC case.
  • Hi everyone, With the assistance of Cisco TAC we believe that bug CSCun78227 (Incorrect temperature thresholds reported via SNMP) is being experienced, this is marked as resolved in 3.6.0(E). The full details of the published bug are below, I will be able to test this on a test switch over the next week but won't be near…
  • Hi Phil, * Yes. I have tried that (as well as using Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode). * My account does have local administrator access. To double check, I have uninstalled both LEM reports and reinstalled specifcally as 'run as administrator' and using compatibility mode. * Crystal reports does supposedly install,…
  • Hi everyone, I have been working on this with Solarwinds Support (AnKian), to disable the errant warning you can do the following: Edit C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\HardwareHealth\SolarWinds.HardwareHealth.Pollers.dll.config and change "<add key="IgnoreCiscoNewEntityMib" value="false"/>" to <add…
  • I've got the same issue, updated to IOS-XE 3.3.3 and despite an SNMP walk showing the correct values, the Orion chart showing the correct values I'm still getting warnings. I suspect Orion must be also monitoring another SNMP MIB then just the temperature value (a monitor state MIB?) and it's either being incorrectly…
  • Hi Francois, We don't have a medianet-based deployment at the moment, but looking towards the future. To give you an idea, we currently have 9 office centres that have very active video-conferencing rooms, which all interconnect over our WAN and 4 of those centres are based internationally. With high-definition video…
  • I gave up and just used plain text email alerts instead.
  • Hi Phil, * Yes, Windows 7 x64. * This is the first time using the reporting application. Kind regards.
  • Hi Cory, You'll be able to find some resources on Netflow and the NTA module here. There are a few ways to find what you're looking for, this is one of them. Assuming your exporting the Netflow which has the CS5 data to Orion; * Access your Orion web interface and hover over the Netflow tab and click on NTA Summary. * You…
