Sorry for the delayed reply. I'm checking if this is possible. Stay tuned.

This is actually something that will be addressed in the next release. Currently you can specify the interface for an operation, but you have to do it as a node setting, so the interface you select would be the same for every operation you create on that source device. In the next release we have added the ability to…

I would go ahead and open a support ticket. -Craig

%monitorstatus% gives you 'Last Monitor Status' for a given monitor. %processavg% gives you CPU load for the server where you have ipMonitor installed.

Many of these statistics can be obtained via SNMP using a Universal Device Poller. Have you tried that? -Craig

Have you tried opening a support ticket? What you're experiencing could be caused by a number of different factors; Support should be able to help you narrow it down and troubleshoot. -Craig

cmga, The report should work the same for application availability. Would you mind posting a screenshot of the filter criteria you're using successfully for NPM, as well as the filter criteria that's giving you problems with APM? -Craig

Did you verify there is an actual trust relationship between the two domains? Also, did you verify these steps from the previous post: If you added the Domain2 domain account to the LOCAL Administrators group of a PC in Domain1, you do need to reboot the PC in order for those new group memberships to take effect. A domain…

rmarshall, what version did you upgrade from?

byrona- You should be able to use a custom property to group the traps, then create an alert based on that custom property. This thread discusses this very topic. Hope this helps. BTW, love your avatar. Falcor rules! -Craig

* Which IP SLA operation did you create on the router? * Which OID(s) do you want to pull data on for the IP SLA operation? * Which OID are you monitoring with the UnDP?

Hi Vincent, The message you're getting (license expired) sounds like the license you're trying to use isn't valid. What version are you running, and did you apply the license key in your SolarWinds customer portal after you installed? I would recommend opening a support ticket; they should be able to assist with getting…

Mike, This is not possible in the product today. I've logged this as a feature request. -Craig

If you're pulling a table from an OID, you should be able to do a Transform. See screenshot.

Hi Lance, First, as a general rule, we don't encourage the flogging of anyone. It's just not nice. When you have a few minutes I would recommend reading some of the other posts across the thwack forums. We strive to maintain an atmosphere of civility and respectful discourse, even in the face of criticism. In addition, we…

Hi Keith, Can you post some screenshots of what you're trying to do? Are you attempting to transfer files with the a normal MRC connection, or through the new Internet Proxy with the v11 Release Candidate? -Craig

Many of our customers use Group Policy to push out config settings on the agents. There is a post on the old DW forums that can help you get started: http://forums.dameware.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=71 Hope this helps, Craig

I would recommend opening a support ticket. -Craig

lhorstma, Have you looked at our IP SLA module? You can run an HTTP operation from any remote site to another and response time is reported back to your Orion server. IP SLA Manager supports this exact use case, along with a number of other operation types (DNS, FTP, UDP Jitter, ICMP Echo, Path Echo, Path Jitter to name a…

tflake, I will contact you offline; I may have a workaround for you. -Craig

mcalpinj This is not possible today. We are working on a feature that will give you the ability to do some math on each individual component value, but it won't be able to combine multiple component values in the same equation. This is definitely something we'd like to do in the future, but we're not quite there yet. HTH,…

Have you tried upgrading to the latest version? We released a hotfix for v9 that was also included in v10 and v11 for the slow connection issue. Do you have an MRC or DRS license? If the latter, you have access to the new Internet proxy which will help you get around your firewall issues.
-
Alex, That doesn't sound right. Have you opened a support ticket? That would be your next step so we can track the issue and get you engaged with one of our tech support reps. -Craig

Apologies for the delayed reply. Yes, this is possible. In fact, you can create a guest account to use that does not require login credentials. This guest account will be able to login with one click and view the dashboardsand is ideal for NOC views.

One last thing; if you install the RC, please post any feedback you have in the RC forum here. Thanks! Craig

There isn't a way (at least that we know of) to reset or restart an operation (via SNMP or from the command line) without deleting it then recreating it. Great idea, though! -Craig

I would recommend opening a support ticket to help you troubleshoot. HTH, Craig

Since IP SLA runs on the Cisco device, the only effect is that the metrics might increase; however, we have not officially tested this. Since metrics are calculated by the Cisco device and not our software, it doesn’t directly impact the software.

Hi Dyanesh, You can be alerted on latency by creating a Ping monitor for the devices on the network where your websites are hosted. You will define the threshold for that monitor based on what is an acceptable threshold for latency. Once the monitor is created, you can then create an alert for that monitor. Hope this…
