jspanitz, The database size request seems pretty straightforward, but what would you like to see exposed with respected to individual database performance? What specific statistics or counters are you interested in seeing in APM that would help you assess database performance? Thanks! Craig

Thanks for the feedback. I've logged this as a feature request. -Craig

Please open a support ticket. Not sure why this isn't working for you based on the information you provided. -Craig

Just an update, all ipMonitor customers on active maintenance should have the RC waiting for you in the SolarWinds customer portal. We'd love to hear your feedback if you have a chance to check it out.

Sorry for the delayed reply. This is possible in APM, but you'll want to use a UnDP (Universal Device Poller). The UnDP can poll any OID on MIB. HTH, Craig

Hi maj, If you've already renewed maintenance then you should be able to get rid of the banner by parking or deactivating your license with the License Manager application. The banner popping up even after you've renewed maintenance is part of an issue we're resolving on the licensing server this week. Thanks, Craig

I would recommend downloading Toolset and Orion NPM for free and trying it yourself. You'll be able to configure it and see exactly what it looks like with your devices. -Craig

luha48, Are you trying to monitor services for Oracle or SAP? I'm assuming SAP, in which case APM doesn't support it yet. If you're looking for a list of Oracle services you can monitor, check the Admin guide here. HTH, Craig

Can you elaborate on exactly what you're trying to do? More specifically, what do you want the alert action to be for 'low?'
-
Can you post a screenshot of the agent settings you've specified above?
-
Can you clarify what the 'CA' program is? Is this installed on your machine, or the remote machine to which you're connecting? -Craig

In this scenario, the IP addresses in your network will appear in IPAM as if not in use, or Available. This will change when we implement Indirect Discovery. With Indirect Discovery we will be able to pull accurate IP status even when ICMP is blocked. I have a post that lists what we're working on here. HTH, Craig

Thanks for the suggestion, Roselyn! Anyone else in the thwack community have a need for a Linux DHCP UE monitor? Thanks! Craig

Which warning border are you referring to? Can you post a screenshot? This is not possible today. What are some other examples where you would want to query for a string and have Orion store that data? Once stored, what do you want to do with it? -Craig

Great suggestion. I've logged this as a feature request. Thanks! Craig

By Manual Activation do you mean you're trying to do an offline activation on a machine that doesn't have internet access? If so, it sounds like you may be missing a few steps. Offline activation generates a file which you then upload to the SolarWinds customer portal, after which you're given an activation file you have…

After doing a little research, it looks like MSMQ exposes WMI. The last release of ipMonitor included a generic WMI monitor. Have you tried this? HTH, Craig

Good news... we are working on this for the next release. -Craig

ipMonitor includes out-of-the-box support for monitoring several statistics on Linux based systems. They are: * CPU Usage: The CPU Usage Monitor uses Local or SNMP communication to test the amount of processor capacity * Drive Space: The Drive Space Monitor uses RPC or SNMP communication to test the amount of available…

Hi Jon, We have several Knowledge Base articles addressing issues you may encounter with APM running on Windows 2008. You can find them here (check the Installation and WMI sections). HTH, Craig

Go to the 'Manage Subnets and IP Addresses' tab, select a subnet then hit 'Properties' which will open the Edit Subnet Properties window. Check 'Disable Automatic Scanning.' HTH, Craig

If you're trying to create a new operation, then you selected the wrong option in the wizard. If it's asking you for an operation number, then you selected the 'Monitor existing operations' option at the beginning of the wizard. Go back and select 'Create new operation.' HTH, Craig

Apologies is this is something you've already verified, but which installer package are you running? 32-bit or 64-bit? What is your system?

You can bulk import subnets, but you can only specify the fields you listed above on a bulk import. However, once imported, you can add custom fields which will be included in an export in addition to any other fields you have selected. HTH, Craig

Thanks for posting, David!

Acknowledging the alert will just mark it as resolved. Regardless of whether it’s acknowledged or not, it won’t keep sending emails. It sends an alert when it fires and then it won’t send again unless it Resets and then is triggered again. By the way, for future reference this would be a good question for the Orion NPM…

We added chat to v8. Your developers logging into the same machine won't be able to chat directly with each other, but they should be able to see what each other is typing on the chat windows on the server they're both accessing. -Craig
