Thanks for the feedback... I'll take a look.

To my knowledge this is not a known issue. I've forwarded to the Dev team so we can investigate, but I would also recommend opening a support ticket so we can track it against reports that may come in from other customers. Thanks, Craig

Apologies for the delayed reply. Have you tried configuring groups and dependencies for your monitors which should help you to suppress some of the unwanted alerts? ipMonitor :: Configure Groups and Dependencies HTH, Craig

What happens if you click on the monitor that still shows up after you deleted it via SOAP? When you delete the parent group and are left with child monitors w/ no parent ID, do the child monitors show up in Orphaned Objects?

jkoelker, IP Network Browser won't show you the VLAN, but the Workspace Studio Switch Port Mapper will. HTH, Craig

marine1020, What you're describing sounds like you want to create a dependency between alerts 1 and 2. This is typically done through the use of custom properties, for which there are many posts here on thwack describing how other customers have used custom properties to create alert dependencies. Would you mind posting…

Which icons are displayed in the system tray is ultimately going to be controlled by Windows, but there is a setting for this on the DameWare agent as well. * Show Tray Icon:Allows the MRC System Tray icon to be displayed. Select Only When Connected to only display the tray icon when MRC is connected. -Craig

Doesn't look like this is possible. See this thread from the old DW forums: dameware.com • View topic - Interactive Services Detection Service

The SmartMonitor settings for CPU and Temperature are going to enable the more granular monitors as you described. In other words, those settings aren't going to be flexible in terms of the monitors they enable. However, you can disable monitors you don't care about after the discovery is done. Not exactly the answer…

Engineer's Toolset can give you this, but you're going to hit a limit in terms of keeping historical data. You probably want to take a look at Orion NPM. You can read more about it and try it for free here.

You can't disable the transient period, but you can specify the duration anywhere between .2 and 340 days. HTH, Craig

Are you planning on upgrading anytime soon? This would be my recommendation. 3.1 is the latest version of IP SLA Manager, which require you to upgrade your Orion as well. -Craig

There is no way to lock down the connection setting to only VNC and RDP. I've added this as a feature request (256746). -Craig

Think of ipMonitor as your go-to tool for basic up/down monitoring. Although SolarWinds has other products that do what ipMonitor does (NPM, SAM to name a couple), they are going to cost you more and come with a lot more functionality/features. That said, ipMonitor has a very loyal base of customers who have been using the…

WPM is in a different category than the other APM tools you've listed. WPM leverages synthetic transactions to proactively identify issues that can potentially impact end users vs. Real End User Monitoring or RUM tools. HTH, Craig

Here is the process: If the MIB you're looking for is not in the online database, sends us the MIBs you wishes to add via a support case. Those MIBs will then be compiled into a custom MIB database, ensuring that we also include MIBs compiled from previous requests. We then send the new MIB database to the you via email or…

Can you provide some additional detail on specifically what's not working? Is the option grayed out, or is it enabled and just doesn't do anything? Screenshot(s) would help as well. Thanks! Craig

Serv-U doesn't currently support multiple public keys for authentication; however, this is a very common feature request we're tracking. Consider this a +1. -Craig

Are you talking about IPAM scans, or are you using scripts in APM?
-
Have you tried creating groups with dependencies to suppress the alerts you don't care about? ipMonitor supports the ability to group together multiple individual Monitors for the purposes of assigning them Dependencies. Properly configured Groups and Dependencies act as an Alert suppression system in ipMonitor. When a…

I would go ahead and open a support ticket (reference this thwack post when you do). -Craig

Unfortunately we don't currently have a command line switch to disable the upgrade prompt. I've added this as a feature request (254545). -Craig

Checking. I will get back to you asap.

Hi Jason, You should be able to create a custom report based on the IPAM events log that will show you when something about an IP changes. I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but the data is there and you can access it a number of ways via custom reports. I like your suggestion though; right-clicking on an…

Sorry for the delayed reply. Go ahead and open a support ticket and reference this thwack post. If there is a bug we can start tracking it. Thanks, Craig

Sorry for the delayed reply. This is a known issue that we'll be fixing in a future release. -Craig
