Have you tried the following: * Create a new report and pick 'Select Group or Device' * Select the group you're interested in. Note: one of your options here is to actually select 'Down Devices.' * Next elect the desired Time and Graph settings * Next select the data you're interested in. 'Downtime' and 'Availability' are…

Hi Dan, Go to IPAM Settings (upper right corner of the IPAM web console)>> IPAM Custom Fields>> Add. This should bring you to the following screen where you can define an IPAM custom field. In the screenshot below you'll see you can specify the Field Type as text or url. HTH, Craig

bellch, please open a support ticket and reference this thwack post. -Craig

Sorry for the delayed reply. We are thoroughly testing the combination of configuration options outlined in your original post. It appears what you're experiencing is the combination of a bug in addition to a change of behavior we implemented in v11 w/ respect to the Permission Required configuration option. There are a…

supermon, You hit the nail on the head; WPM was purpose-built to monitor websites and web apps through synthetic transactions. It is admittedly not a full blown APM solution; however, using WPM with Server and Application Monitor, Virtualization Manager, and Storage Manager can give you visibility across the majority of…

HI Steve, not at all. Checking on an answer for you...

Yes, I've spoken with several customer who use shadow routers specifically for their IP SLA deployments. HTH, Craig

Macnugetz *pings* community... I'd love to hear how any of you are doing this as well! :-) -Craig

Hey Byron, The new VMware monitoring functionality gives you visibility into your entire VMware infrastructure. Where previously Orion only gave you visibility into your ESX hosts and the VMs on those hosts, it now provides visibility into your ESX clusters, datacenters, and virtual centers. NPM and APM are currently in…

This issue should be fixed in the next release (v11). If you're on active maintenance you should have the v11 release candidate available for download in your customer portal. Please let me know if you get a chance to install v11 and find this issue still occurring. -Craig

Email alerts are generated like this: 1) any monitor does tests periodically. 2) there is a value (numeric field) indicating the number of monitor fails when alert is triggered. 3) alerts, assigned to a monitor, are executed one by one. 4) at the same time, they may get a delay in email because of email service queue It…

Thanks, Questionario! :-)

That doesn't sound right. If you're not seeing the chat window open at all then please open a support ticket. -Craig

gravitrain, Thanks for the feedback. This is actually the second request I've seen in the last week for supporting DHCP servers running on Linux (the other post is here, asking about creating DHCP operations in IP SLA Manager for a DHCP server running on Debian). Who else is running their DHCP servers on Linux? Speak up...…

For this particular issue we need you to open a support ticket (and reference this thread, please). -Craig

Erik, This sounds like a credentials issue. Have you verified that 'private' is the correct RW string for that device? If it is, please open a support ticket and reference this post. -Craig
-
Questionario is correct; we have a utility called the Open Source Script Processor that can take Nagios scripts and convert them into APM monitors. Currently it only supports scripts that return a single value, but we're planning on expanding its functionality to support scripts that return multiple values. See this post.…

jmorse, Did this suggestion work for you? If not, I'd recommend opening a support ticket and reference this thread. -Craig

Kris, did you find what you needed in the support documentation?

muz73, Toolset has been tested and verified to work on Windows 7 as of the 10.3 release. If you're having problems installing an evaluation version, please contact Sales and they can get one of our Sales Engineers to help you. HTH, Craig

MattB, Have you tried deleting them and recreating them? If this is not an option, go ahead and please open a support ticket. HTH, Craig

Thanks, Dan! wardz2k16, let us know if that worked for you. -Craig

Good deal... glad you got it sorted!

nightowl, Have you checked out our Profiler product? Your use case is a little specific, but here's what it can do: * Monitor the storage and performance of Celerra directly. * It can do file analysis on CIFS and NFS shares on the Celerra (or any NAS), listing all the shares and then allowing you to select which ones you…

Glad to hear, ceclark!

warbird, Although this is technically not a bug, it is confusing. The 'Target' field that is blank in your screenshot actually translates to Target Node. In the case of an HTTP operation, you're targeting a url vs. an actual node, which is why nothing is displayed for this field. You can actually edit the target by editing…

Apologies for the egregiously late response; somehow this one fell through the cracks. I checked and there are no known issues w/ respect to using parentID. Did you figure it out? If not I would recommend opening a support ticket.

Yes, this is something we know would be useful and have gotten many requests for (see link from aaron to the other thread). We can't commit to timeframes, but it's something we'd like to do in the future. -Craig

Some other things to look at: * What other services are running on your network? * How many IP SLA operations are running on each device?
