if you have a group of buildings and one is the gym, then the bit of the SQL you need to amend is the ORDER BY ORDER BY [% PortsUsed] DESC, [ActivePortCount] DESC, [UnusedPorts] ASC I presume they are defined in custom fields your buildings?

HI A link from another thread regarding the upgrade experience NPM 12.2 Upgrade Experience Feedback? There is also reference to an upgrade document from the success centre if that helps Migrate SolarWinds products to a new server using the same IP and hostname - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Is the test…

brill I've sometimes had the same issue and its been one of the services so just do a restart, sometimes a Microsoft update can cause an issue but generally a services restart helps

Is your database remote to network atlas or are they both on the same server ? Remotely its always going to be slower, due to all the data it pulls, I always use it on the applications server (our database is on a cluster on a server vlan)

I guess so, but you didnt state 2k devices ? if you are just setting it up, then i guess you could delete all the nodes and rediscover them? is that an option? At least that way as you go through and add nodes you can select/deselect what you do and dont want to monitor. Or settings - manage nodes, change the drop down to…

Thank you very much to both of you for your answers most appreciated and help immensely

Following on - regarding trap alerting, I was looking at this myself and found this if it is any help https:/thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-189374 Ive also found this thread - re the dell monitoring which might help as there is a related custom poller thread. also there are some pollers in the library which you might need…

If you are using powershell and have the SDK on your application server, there are examples (in your directory where the SDK has been installed, under samples/powershell which will help) of how to load it first in case its not already loaded, then connecting to SWIS ( in the top example they have used "$swis = Connect-Swis…

Had the same issue as you, the guys from support was looking at it and thats what they was looking at, one package being a different version. I've been told to use the installer on the additional pollers because it basically sucks the same config from the primary poller. So well done

I used this reference, when setting up my SNMP V3 on the switches and within Orion which is working Setup Cisco SNMPv3 via CLI - Documents
-
Great thanks for letting us know, duly un-installed.
-
Add that to the
-
Also in settings have a look at the hardware polling turn of anything you dont need.
-
The group will have something in common, so in the top "scope of alert" section you set that to that common thing
-
Did you get anywhere ?
-
We dont integrate AD with Solarwinds so haven't no experience of it, if someone can confirm it pulls the data into the database then you can use SWQL/SQL to get it out and create events or reports. Can you pull it from AD using powershell, save it as a file and read it in using the API ?
-
Is that a 'feature' or side effect that needs addressing by support then maybe ?
-
Interestingly, I had issues with menus not displaying, but it was the back end database configuration causing the issues, with so much technology and features being added to the database out DBA has to keep moving things around disks and elevating permissions but seems to be running ok currently with all menus showing.

No, as far as i'm aware that is the only 'magic' one
-
hi not sure but will this help?
-
Thanks very much, any improvements or comments about the script coding?
-
If you find something helpful can you mark it as so please
-
HI there thanks for that as well, if the battery falls below say 70% thought, that wouldn't be down and so wouldn't show red ?
-
hi thanks for replying, no ive tried there without success and ive got the custom poller set as per the above image, its in need of some code behind it once the alert has been triggered as there is no way (I can see) of setting it to turn red. Ive tried 'set custom status' but this wont work with custom pollers, the action…
-
its in each users account is this what you are looking for? so you can limit what nodes they can access once they are discovered and grouped.
-
HI there have a look to see if its another alert triggering this and not the one you have set up, it could be an out of box one
-
Another way to do it is to show the events on the node (if they arent already) set an event when its unmanaged and you will see it in the node. Im sure (without digging deeper that you should be able to do it in custom table as well?)
-
Just wondering if this is being updated?
-
Or are you trying to write this in the Report Writer ?
-
Try running the config wizard again that is on the Orion server see if that helps.
