@"aLTeReGo" @jblankjblank everything is on the latest version. 2020.2.1 HF2.

@"jblankjblank" I've just created 9 maps on one of the instances of SolarWinds. When I look from the Orion Maps page on the EOC, I see the "site" listed that the maps have been created in, but none of the maps I created are listed. I just see "Create Map" in the middle, rather than a list of the maps. Does some process…

How do you import these new maps into EOC, I only see legacy maps listed?
-
Got it working - even though the AD group permissions were full admin, there was a filter so under reporting for "no reports". Changed this to default and away we go. Thanks for all your help.
-
No they don't show up there - good to know I'm not going mental. I will log a ticket... yes full admin.

This could be done, although the feature should really be added to APE's. We were sold them as the way to get SW working on an isolated network, this is a limitation that needs to be resolved.
-
Right I think I have a problem then as the only reports that show up for me are the two custom ones I've been playing with! Having seen your screenshot and looked at the online Demo it seems there should be loads there!
-
Done - thanks Silverback.

OPC is very common - more likely is that people haven't thought about monitoring OPC communication in this way before. However SolarWinds is widely used on industrial process networks which use OPC communication. If the feature was there - it would be used.

I don't think it's so much about not wanting to save your creds, more like what other apps use the FQDN in a username field these days? Java eh... If you want to throw your release of 5.5 my way I won't mind upgrading my production - I've only just installed it.... when does it arrive, the 5th?
-
I do, and when I look at it it says it's valid. I also was able to link it to the bindings via IIS - so IIS also thinks it's a valid cert. Looking at the certificate patch tab, all show valid.

Hi hthit, I installed 11.0.1 yesterday but I don't see that report listed anyway even when I do a search unless I'm being a complete fool. Could you send a screenshot of what you see please?

Nothing in those logs files. I guess I will have to log a support ticket?
-
As OPC is a standard, can SolarWinds not build an SNMP to OPC Gateway into their product so we avoid 3rd party utilities?
-
Response from SolarWinds support... "Be informed that Dev Team confirmed that the issue is not a limitation and this is by own design. Alerting only executes on the main server, action will not execute because the main server can't physically reach node which is assigned to an APE." I have said this is not acceptable, if…

Thanks all for getting back to me so quickly. It would be good to see some more activity going on here, but sounds like you do have some more plans in the pipeline. Will be keeping an eye on how things progress. Ding - could you look at this question please regards using PM connecting through firewalls? Design has actually…
-
I have logged a ticket with SW now, it would be handy if they provided some kind of output to indicate what the configuration wizard doesn't like to help identify the issue.

I look forward to seeing the beta site in action. You can send me a T-Shirt. :)

How are you forming your report to get a list of applications and install count? When I create a query to list all workstations, select the inventory info etc all I get is a list of all the software installed on them? I don't see how to get an overall list of software with installation count. I would have thought there…
-
These aren't classic OOTB reports, you still have to go and build them and it still doesn't give the type of reporting I was looking for? Can you screenshot your configuration for say the Software Inventory Report so I can see how it's matched to mine? Thanks Mike
-
Hi, Yes I have been through this document and as far as I can tell it should be good... the cert should meet everything in the "green" requirements.
-
Ok I tell a lie, it detects but doesn't detach even though the rule triggers. I've attached a text file - for some reason I can't copy and paste to this window. I have removed all names, IP and custom messages from the text file. Do you have any logs locally which I can look for detach errors? Thanks

So please clarify, I now see a new download and I only need to install the WebPage updates for my main SW server. This new exe is ew-cds-007_2.1.7.7210.exe, but running it comes up saying it doesn't detect any of the components? Running the main installer on this server doesn't give me an option to upgrade just the web…

Shouldn't need to create a separate alert for SQL for this, should be built into the feature. Will raise a request to be voted on..

Thanks, I'm trying to avoid using another product but appreciate the link. Nothing from the dev's yet on here...
