The display is set with CSS. You might try tweaks on that.

I second the comment above where the issue is handled at the display as opposed at the SW server. I've done this using Firefox and had the browser scroll through multiple views automatically.

Was building spacecraft at Kennedy Space Center. During a lull in the workflow, I got sent to another facility to pull cable for "some kind of network thing". Was a 10base2 and 10base5 network connecting terminal servers talking back to mainframes. After 2 weeks, I was asking some pretty good questions and they told me to…

Points?

I've gotten around this in neworks with lots of remote sites by creating node groups by site using dynamic query on site ID custom property. It's manual, but it works better than auto dependency. Suppose site ID is remote001. A dependency group using including site ID remote001 and excluding the edge router, then creating…

This month's mission is just awful, today's question is an example of how. The question asked about how many replication servers and the display shows a count of 5. I get it that the theme is investigation, but I don't have the time to do a look for duplicates. This isn't my network and I am not going to waste my time…

Completed this last week, Points Please, my dog ate my hoodie.

I agree, I went with the answer closest to what was presented in the clue, but got it wrong. I assume the correct answer was the marketing answer, not the answer that is correct per the clue.

Done!

My complaint isn't that I don't have time to do missions, my complaint is that the question was basically a trick question. As for what's a good use for my time, that's my call. Commenting my opinion is valid use of the forum. At least 14 people agreed. That being said, thank you for your opinion.

Has anyone got this working on 2020.2.1, if so, How?
-
Sorry, I meant connection profiles. Changing the NCM Connection Profile Settings for Multiple Nodes - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
-
The TACACS or Radius Admin can set that up, then you add that account info to the device profiles to use to connect just like when you use your own creds to access a router or switch. The account will need to take you to enable mode to execute startup and running config dumps.
-
How did this work for you? Caveats? Limitations? How did you separate the flows after getting to Solarwinds?
-
Build the new instance under a temp license. That buys you a month to stand it up. Make sure that the network devices have the new Solarwinds IP address as an allowed SNMP server and that the firewalls will allow it.
-
The NOC view has a setting for "group" or "group of groups" If you set define a custom property for something like "system owner" describing a department, then create a group with devices selected by dynamic query, that will auto-add devices to that group. Then select those groups for addition to your NOC view.

I went to my profile and didn't see a way to do it. Might want to message the Thwack admins.
-
This is correct. You can pull IP addresses from the old platforms and do a cut and paste of those IP addresses into discovery on the "last man standing" (LMS) platform. These will be new nodes; so you will lose custom properties and the like, but the stats and other data will be fresh. Plus, you will probably want to redo…

You will want an account for Orion on TACACS / RADIUS to do SSH or telnet to the devices.
-
Sent email as requested, with a paste of the latest correspondence from PSI which basically says they aren't doing Solarwinds exams right now.
-
I moved on from that temp engagement before implementing. The WAN vendor Centurylink wouldn't give even RO access anyway. Ended up with ICMP polling outside and inside interfaces.
-
I've had intermittent hanging issues as well. Fortunately it just needs a restart and is just a minor irritation.
-
on NPM 12.1, Can't find this widget. Has this been discontinued?
-
Sounds like an alert on (lack of) APE traffic as a trigger that executes a script that bounces the process might be in order.
-
RD to the Orion server, Check and see if ATLAS is hung up. I've had instances where a user was editing a map and had the process hang, making other maps unavailable.
-
I monitor thin WAPs at the controller. DHCP WAPS are a major pain unless there is a DNS entry for them. There is often an issue where an WAP leaves (disassociates) one controller for another. A script can poll to see if a WAP that has left one controller has gone to another.

You might want to go into the DB manager utility and see if the device info is still there in the database. If you have a custom property based group, the device might be able to show up in the group, but the device doesn't show up in node listing because the node ID number was removed.

Double check that you haven't been logged out.
