How do you use/run this report? Will this work with IVIM 2.1.1 or only in the full blown VMAN instance?
-
Yeah, you'd think, but no, I keep nothing in my cube anymore. Half the time I am in the data center anyway. My cube has been confused as being empty or available before.

Okay so that wasn't the entire issue. There is a definite issue going on between what appstack is saying and NPM. If I go in and do a list resources on the server all the volumes show up same as listed. If I delete the volumes, and try to readd them from a list resources, the volumes will add, but stay in the state of…

Thanks for the reply, currently we are not using the Unmanage Schedule Utility. I figure that since all this information already exists within the database there must be some way to extract it, format it, and put it into some type of report. It would be easiest if this was a resource I could add or a standard function. Len

Thanks for the info. Right now it is not a huge concern since we manage most alerts via the tool on the server. Moving forward though, with the new alerting functions in the soon to be NPM we will see how this gets affected and maybe have to open a support ticket for it.
-
We upgraded NPM to 11.5, and at the same time our SAM to 6.2 and the problems went away.
-
Thanks for the info. I just made another post asking for a way to do this. I will avoid the query, but thanks for the idea. Worst case I can always edit the tables manually. Sucks to do so, but better than losing all my history.

The only problem with this logic is that the VMs are all over the place. My VCenter account needs to be sitting at the top level in order for me to see servers that are deployed globally. As servers are spun up and down I need to be able to add and remove them as needed. This approach wouldn't work. I just fail to…

Well there are two issues. The first is that we were planning on using this as a multi-user Orion setup. No real need to have it installed on everyone's desktop. I like the ability to quickly open a tool right through NPM and use it when needed. That being said, the fact that you can't use all the tools without using it…

If I could download bacon 100 times a day I would. I'd be dead in week from heart failure but what a way to go. Besides who has the time to game the system 100 times a day? And just for Thwack points?
-
No I haven't initially my problem is occurring even if I am logged onto the Orion Server and just running it locally. It actually creates the PDF, it's just that the resultant data is missing. I can understand how the SSL would matter if I am running this from a web console, but how would it affect it if I am just running…
-
I might be missing it, but I think this would be good information to be added to all the documentation. or at least some kind of disclaimer. Had I known I wouldn't have gotten people here more excited about it.

see my post above

Ok so things are getting stranger by the moment. So it would seem that there is a volume relabeling issue going on. After checking 4 or 5 random servers showing this issue I noticed that they were all virtual systems. It seems that this is related to the moving of VMs around and also to any resizing of drives by the Windows…

Mav, How do I get a hold of you to set up an offline discussion? Thanks! Len
-
Thanks, I would be interested in having a chat as this will decide some of my future architecture and H/W purchases for the upcoming year. Let me know what a good time to talk would be. I can be reached at Leonard.J.Fransen@ul.com.

Hi there, I am looking for something just like this to monitor the queue lengths of some SMTP relay servers we have. I am not good at creating monitors but how would you go about doing this? I tried creating one based on the above information but failed miserably. It is a Lotus Domino server running on server 2003. I am…

We tried the delete and the re-add but it didn't work. As I mentioned we have one Vcenter 5.5 working fine on 2008 R2, its just the one under Server2012 that isn't working correctly. Right now we are trying to see if there are OS-based restrictions preventing us from communicating properly. We don't think this is the case…

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a try and let you know how it will work. Len

great thanks!

Thanks for the reply and I understand that upgrading one will perform an upgrade to IVIM and Orion Core, but the question is centered around vCenter 6.5. I am currently monitoring my vCenter 5.5 and 6.0 instances just fine. I currently have four different vCenters and they all work. My issue is with vCenter 6.5 and my…

Due to the excessively long hold times for your support line is there anything that can be emailed to me or posted as I can't wait on hold. Either that I have to wait until monday. Thanks Leonard.J.Fransen@US.UL.com

Thanks for the reply. The query worked fine and provided a list of all the Interface IDs and associated names for my 44 riverbed appliances. So judging by your comments I would assume that all my optimized interfaces are set up correctly. Len

We don't use any HP-UX here

Sorry guys, but I am anti-clutter.
-
the UcSManager is through the OS address and the blades come up as the blade management address when I click on them to add
-
Here is what mine looks like. After I reset the UCS Manager to the settings I mentioned earlier I was then able to click on each of the devices and add them separately.
-
So here is something interesting I found out. When you add your UCS Manager node you add it as ICMP only, then select 'Poll for UCS' and add the appropriate credentials. Then I got to see the chassis/blade/switch info. From there you have to add each component separately as individual notes. Now you should see everything…
-
As a further to this, the Manage Pollers page says that I can't apply the Wireless Heat Mapp poller because the OIDs don't match.

ok thanks
