Bueller anyone?

We have applied this hotfix and it still hasn't fixed the problem. Suffice to say the support and information about this issue coming from Solarwinds has been less than stellar. Originally we were told it was a MS patch problem, even though we have never applied those patches. Now we get a hotfix to fix the problem and it…

We are experiencing a situation where the 'Last Error' column keeps saying never even though these alerts trigger quite often. Some record properly some just say never. Is there any special conditions for this field to display the actual day it last triggered? Does the alert need something more than just writing to the…

Okay, time to call off the dogs. So apparently the upgrade to the latest and greatest NPM changed this resource. After customizing the page and finding the Worldwide Map resource to add I noticed it had a different name. Adding the new one worked and all my nodes 'suddenly' came back.

Ours was fixed by the upgrade. No amount of troubleshooting prior to this was able to fix it.

So just to confirm, the recommendation was to upgrade to NPM 12.1 correct? Does that automatically add VIM7.1 or did you also have to install that too? Len

We had similar problem but the VCenter server itself wasn't polling correctly. SW wasn't able to fix it. We just upgraded to the latest RC in an attempt to fix it and it did so it was clearly an NPM/SAM problem. Problem now is that all my existing virtual nodes which ARE in NPM are showing as gray under the ESX hosts. The…

We experienced a similar problem. The first thing I did was shut off the geo locate function for placing nodes based on coordinates. We don't use this function and all it managed to do was screw up my maps. During upgrade this should have been set to unchecked as opposed to the default checked. I also noticed that there…

You know it would almost be nice if there was something like an SSL Certificate monitor or something that could have prevented the problem. Hmmmmm I wonder who would have such a thing?

Yes, that filters out most of the nodes that haven't been added yet, but it also filters out a whole bunch of other stuff for me. I appreciate the attempt though. I still go back to the original issue which is why it's being included at all. I realize that it is being gathered from the polling of the VCenter servers, but…

Ours didn't break during the upgrade. This just seems to be a bug I have noticed anytime an existing dependency gets changed.

Thanks for the info. I forwarded it to one of my UNIX admins so lets see what he says.

I think we can wait. it was a valid question from the team so i will get back to them to let them know. Thanks!
