your exactly right - because it is a new install we have SSH enabled and a few other things going on so that's where the error is coming from. Thanks for the help. For some reason the Host Details screen wasn't showing up anywhere so i wasn't able to see it...

Great Idea, i never spent a lot of time working through MIB walks but that did the trick. Found both of the values for the Universal I/O ports and it's reporting just as expected. Thanks

When i look at the VMware summary I see the following... When I go into the host to look at it I see this... it lost no errors anywhere once you start viewing the host.

So i have been playing with the APC Universal Device Pollers and while it give me some of the information I need, it does not allow me to monitor ht etemperature probes in the universal I/O ports. Any other suggestions?

Im not sure of a good way to do integration with CUCM but my organization used pagerduty.com. It takes your email or SMS alerts and will then distribute to on call personnel and will even call them and read the message to them.
