For your 'common' domain account set it to grant ‘VIEW SERVER STATE’. And then here's a link for reference: "http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlsecurity/thread/3c0182b2-dc24-47c8-bbb9-e36c911a3a45" Good Luck!

...one more thing is there another variable called ${AlertResetTime} ??? and where do you find these things?
-
i meant to show it as CONTAINS *cpqSeUSBSorageDevice*
-
Yes - I have APM 3.1
-
. . i am still trying to get this to work WITH Orion! SNMP V3 works when using WinAgents MIB Browser and this device, but Solarwinds does not work. WHY?????? thanks for any help.
-
A restart of the device. Thanks.

Those inhouse developers here at my company are concerned with both. By the way, they don't want alerts on these, they just reference these APM components in their current state from our Orion web access. And they really would like access through the Orion web to be able to Stop-Pause-Start any service on any of their…

my bad. that came from a later section about SP2 (not actually SP4)

I've tried it numerous ways, such as: \\server\sysvol\mydomain.com\Policies and \\server\C$\sysvol\mydomain.com\Policies and anything else I could come up with but each time it fails. Here's the body of the script from FOLDER SIZE MONITOR TEMPLATE. Dim lstArgs, folderName, objFSO, objFolder, lngSize Set lstArgs =…

I'm trying to do a POC using APM and WMI right now but it doesn't seem to work or something. For instance, I have WMI monitoring Disk I/O on a server but I never see any values in STATISTIC DATA. Is this normal? Did I configure something wrong using WMI? And then when I use Report Writer to do trending on this disk I/O I…

I do have it unchecked. I'll just use filtering on these reports unless something else changes. Thanks.

When I train users on Solarwinds I stress using OVERVIEW to find their node quickly and also see any issues with an interface. In my humble opinion, it’s the most important area in Orion to spot issues quickly or else find the way to a node/interface. I also think APM would fit in well with OverView. Thanks.

This is NTA 3.6 And I've just confirmed by using Wireshark that the Orion server is receiving Netflow v9 packets from this ASA. But I can never get it manually or automatically to show up as a source inside NTA. Do I need to open a support ticket for this or is there something I'm missing?
-
attn CS_BALIW_CS Is it possible for you to publish the finished SQL report contents in this post? This would make a great addition. Thank-you!
-
Well here's a screenshot showing those RED items since the HTML coding keeps it from displaying. Shouldn't these values for SECONDS and MINUTES be displayed to the NMP Admin User?
-
Makes me think of the need for new FEATURE REQUEST! How about a MAC report that will find the Vendor info (the first six characters in the MAC) and display it into the Orion report? I've always used this site to find Vendor Info but there's probably some other good ones out there... http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/ Thanks…
-
well, well... thanks!

SAC: Here are a few examples I've put together for you. And I hope you understand there are many ways and many other metrics to include here but I don't think that's practical with this forum. HTH.

in that case i'd recommend opening a support ticket. i notice you have Linux in some Guest systems, does it only appear to be with those Linux OSes? (all i have is Window OSes in VM and i don't find any issues with 9.1 SP5) also, after you drill down into the VM, does the name look normal then?
-
That's the only 'error' message I get (the one shown in the second screenshot) where it begins "This resource is not displaying correctly due to..." But, I've also seen another one "Report loading cancelled." "Press F5 to refresh and try again". _AND_ When I do a Print-Preview it has a RED-X icon indicating a missing…
-
that's not what i was thinking about. that is static. i'm just beginning to use WMI and it appears very powerful, so i don't understand everything about it, but i was thinking WMI might be more dynamic in its use. what i'm thinking about is using a WMI query which can produce this dynamic list of current processes and…

TOILET Can you explain what is going on, for example, if I use ANY for MONTHLY reports and therefore get each month of the year, but if I use ALL, then I only get the last three months?
-
I've tried it and it does not appear to be the solution.
-
Hmmmm. My guess is an issue with the NOT NULL.
-
Just got word yesterday we're getting NUMARA. So, if anyone has any tips .etc about how to make it work with Orion please let me know.
-
you might try placing your .PS1 file here C:\windows\system32\windowspowershell\v1.0\ instead of where you show it located.
-
instead of using NONE - i used NOT ALL and this was the key to making it work - thanks for your reply
-
well that did not work... it's as if it has to be like. NONE Starts With "C" or NONE Starts With "A" or NONE Starts With "L" just having them listed like your screenshot still does not work. if i use only one of them it will work, but not as a list.
-
thanks - that's what i was looking for...i was staring at it too hard.
-
the login...you can probably go without the sub-folder if it makes sense for you.
