KARLO - May I ask a question here? How do you know when it is best to turn on 64bit counters since this is enabled at the node level? Does having a Point-to-Point drive this usage and would this counter provide any benefit for non-Cisco devices like a VMware or Windows?

Thanks JIRI & AltErEgO !!! In my case, I had to uninstall both RECORDER and PLAYER from the server I was using as a "PLAYER" server. And remove the local 'SEUM' accounts too. After reinstalling everything it works fine now, even the one with 'pass-through'.

we have two rows of eight cabinets per row full of servers (~ 200 servers) i put them all in two maps - Front Row & Rear Row map names.

Hey EZakes! i found two more missing images... NetPerfMon/Images/Vendors/94.gif Nokia NetPerfMon/Images/Vendors/8741.gif SonicWALL thanks for your help.

i can't speak for the original poster CHANDRU, but as for me - i'm using NPM 9.1 SP5.

i'm just the messenger :) and i probably relayed the message wrong. here's what it requires: you must have a process monitor that can ensure that SCHEDULE and WATCH services are started on only one box at a time. Your process monitor must be able to account for failover.
-
yes sir, that is accurate. this product is Numara Footprints by the way. it was stated to us this is a requirement to have something inhouse to monitor this 'failover'... and we need it in place real soon too and if Solarwinds can't do it, find the product that will.... (This is a first for me) I understand one IP/SERVER…

Actually I did get some very good results...but we ended up taking all our video conferencing off our internal network and putting it on its own cable-modem network. i got all the MIBs from a Lifesize engineer and used them in UnDP and they were working great. But this was around the same time we removed it from our LAN,…

Still no luck! Does this require the parameter, like, -c=START ? And is this supposed to work, APMServiceControl.exe 2654 (When the AM# is 2654) If using the canned alert named RESTART A SERVICE, and the AM# is 2654, would I put that number on the Component Type ? If so, I tried that and it still did not work. I may need…

i only get around 150 OIDs from these few MIBs VMWARE-SYSTEM-MIB VMWARE-VMINFO-MIB VMWARE-RESOURCES-MIB VMWARE-ROOT-MIB i was hoping these others VMWARE-TC-MIB.mib VMWARE-PRODUCTS-MIB.mib VMWARE-ENV-MIB.mib VMWARE-OBSOLETE-MIB.mib VMWARE-AGENTCAP-MIB.mib VMWARE-VC-EVENT-MIB.mib so i could use them with UnDP.

Jeff, I've found out this new monitor had never gone 'Up' (Green) because there were floods of these ID 560 events during each poll. I made a couple of changes to reduce the number of events plus I made an edit for component exceptions and now it goes 'Up' (GREEN). So it is working after all. Thanks!

Chris - I've opened a case on this. I still don't see those Netflow Sources in NTA that I think should be there. Thanks.

It is #133019

Exactly what I was after. This will help a lot. Thanks!

not exactly what i wanted to hear but thanks for the reply...

it's happening for me with both IE7 and IE8 as a matter of fact, here's another recent screenshot and it is different than my first post. and notice how it still is not including the full HH:MM and one more thing - i get to this using TRAFFIC VIEW BUILDER then INTERFACE and it is presented in the final view which has TOP…

thanks...that sure helped.

Thanks Bill... I'm also curious if anyone has had experience with the OMSA_TAR and TARBALL and getting it working with ESX 4.
-
no, not the same interface. i have maps with varying interfaces placed on the map...that is, interfaces from switches and routers and servers, etc. my point is, i sometimes see one of these interfaces (a random interface) and the value shown for it on the map is ZERO - IN/OUT.

aLTeReGo, where exactly can this be found to "...select the credential you'd like to change...". i'm not having much luck. thanks.

NOTE: My space of 300MB is misleading and I apologize - I have several Rules filtering unwanted SYSLOG events out of those 500,000 per day. What I want from the leftovers is using that 300MB space. If it were the entire 500,000 then it would be closer to 4GB space for all SYSLOG events.

Is this 'feature' you mentioned supposed to be have been ready in NTA 3.5 or do you mean another release of NTA? The reason I ask is that my highest app usage still reports as RANDOM HIGH PORT 0 which is useless.

No matter the SQL FILTER I attempt - I always get this: Custom SQL filter is incorrectly formated. What do you think is the problem?

we have this exact same issue with disk space alerts during backups. we use both NetBackup and Avamar and will soon be finished using NetBackup...but the issue still happens nightly. i wonder if there is any way to link to APM monitoring the NetBackup process where if it had CPU greater than zero then use Alert SUPPRESSION…

i just tested mine and it came back successful with LDAP VERSION 3. i have both APM 3.5 and NPM 10.0

(bump) Does anyone monitor their ESX VM for 'CPU READY'? -for example- Excessive CPU ready time can be an indication of underlying host CPU contention and or VMs that are configured with too many CPUs.

If you made a Custom 'NODE' Property - say "TRASH" Then Copy-Paste the word TOBEREMOVED into this TRASH field so that this word designates Nodes in the Custom Property-gui. This can be done quickly if you sort by most any field so you can pick and choose those you will want to evenutally delete. Then go into Manage Nodes…
-
You might try using the CUSTOM PROPERTY EDITOR and select VOLUMES. You can select multiples and right click and select DELETE.

Check out this thread and see if it fixes this issue for you. It worked for me.

I have more information about this but I'm still at a lost if Orion NPM (or even APM) can monitor something like this. It seems to me the executable can potentially go by so quickly that a poll may not catch it. Anyway heres' that extra info (thanks for any thoughts or ideas on this): We had a situation where we had an…
