I run the pgsql update command to update it to the new version I run start help desk button and create…

so there's no way to upgrade in place from the same vm server? I have to create a brand new VM for 12.8.0? will I need to do the same thing from 12.8.0 to 12.8.3 & 12.8.3 HF2? It's just not making sense

We have a clone VM to do testing of the upgrade on so we don't mess with prod VM, and I take screenshots of it as well we have 12.7.7 installed, upgrading to 12.8.0, so I lose pgsql9, it gets upgraded to 13, and I don't have the option to restore it

Thanks, so is there another way to restore the backups? If I can't, this is going to cost hours of work re-configuring and matching previous settings

another issue: when I go from 12.7.7 to 12.8.0, I lose pgsql9 so I can't run the pg_admin3 setup to restore previous settings

yeah but now I'm getting a server not listening error message so it's not working
-
yeah it's checked I was able to back up database using CLI but need to know how to restore it and all the configs

it just says vendor, database name, username/password, backup schedule, folder (default is pgsql9) for backups, and number of backups
