one more thing. i can understand how the web integration might make the product more appealing to new customers. i also cant see the reason to remove the console for those of us who prefer it. I didn't even see that they removed the server console??? If that really is the case, that is the end of NCM for us.

I had large issues as well. I run a server with an attached MSSQL database....I would typically install and run through the config wizard, where I would put in my NCM database and credentials. With 7.0 it went through that, and then wanted me to enter the orion database??!? Am I missing something here?

Same issue here: The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state. Trying to poll an APM application that does not work.

I cant seem to get this to work. Does it have to be SNMP v2 set up on the AIX box? I have V1 set up and it works when validating the string (In node properties) but when I try to bring in processes, it shows up blank. Thanks!

I am inputting all hostnames with no SNMP credentials. It resolves all of the host names (70 of them), except for the same 10 every time. Editing nodes when adding 500-600 at a time is not an option. Why does it work on most, but not a select few?

Depending on the version of Windows, the job (in windows task scheduler) may have ran, and completed, but with an error code....dig in more. I'm guessing that it is set to only run when the user is logged on or permissions are not correct, the log (if thats what it is) should provide you with the info that you need.

Same here, mine are random, but consistently random. They resolve from the server, but when running the web based discover tool, the same nodes don't resolve. What is the reason behind this?

For a DR situation and depending on RPO/RTO, wouldn't your storage and VM's fail over to the other data center? You would incur a short outage and maybe a reboot if the VM's get mad that their storage got pulled.... I think I may be missing something in your question.
