There is no more results. I still can not see what is hanging off those FEX's with UDT. SolarWinds needs to support the 5k/2k in UDT. Hopefully the version coming up will have that ability.
-
Correct.
-
I have the 7ks, going to the 5ks to the FEXs. So adding the VLANS to other line cards in the 7K does not help.
-
Ok. did what you said. In the Compatibility Checker I see all my VLANS, but I do not have any of those VLANS with dot1dBasePortTable@vlanXXX or dot1dTpFdbTable@vlanXXX. I am only showing the main default VLAN with dot1dBasePortTable@vlan1 or dot1dTpFdbTable@vlan1 and that is all, no other VLAN. I think it is doing this…
-
I add the VLANS to a few ports on another card. Do you have Nexus 5K units and the FEX are coming off the 5Ks, or do you have the FEX directly connected to your 7K?
-
But this should not even have to wait till there is a bunch of votes, it should have been added a long time ago

So, if what I am getting you are saying. If I take one of my blades on the Nexus 7K, or rather a few ports and put them on the same VLANs as I have on the FEX ports, I will see the information on the 5K's when polling via UDT?
-
no, but they come back on the next scan because the MAC address changes. I did not delete the information from the table yet. I set the Neighbor scan to be the source interface on the Riverbed rather then the router. I want to see if the conflicts come back by doing that.
-
You are correct. But not all environments will allow you to have WMI access because of seperation of duties.
-
Thanks I will try it out.
-
Yes. FEX connected to 5K.
-
It does. Thanks for the PICS. I am ordering one now. Thanks again.

I do not see the badge either.

I did that. But on the Summary Screen where you have the IP Address Conflicts box, they are still showing up there, which is mis-leading. When will the new version be coming out, the sooner the better in my opinon

Curious and off subject, but how did you get that 3D image for you room?
-
Ding, any word on Engineers Toolset. Have not seen anything come out since 11.06, a lot of the Toolsets for the desktop are outdated.
-
Or you can install the SNMP Service under add feature and then specify your SNMP Statements in the service profile, that is the way we do it.
-
Have them also check what Networks, or IP address are allowed to poll the machine. In the SNMP config file, they need to check the settings for allowed devices. Also, they may want to check their firewall rules to be sure your polling engines IP addresses are authorized to transverse the firewall on the machine. Curious…

I have since upgraded to a newer version and it still does the same thing. At this point sometimes unmanaging the devices works, and at other times, I have to delete the device and re-add it back again. I try to avoid deleting and re-adding the device due to history information being lost.
-
The same here. I asked for this as a feature request to support the VG modles from Cisco because they are phone gateways, just analog gateways.
-
Thank you. Just got done installing it and everything looks fine now.
-
ok. Thank you.
-
I would imagine it is the same way. I do not have the Fortinet Firewall, so I am not really sure. Have you called Tech support for SolarWinds to check with them? I did find a post that may help you. Someone else was running into the same problem. See if the below helps. Fortinet Fortigate Backups via TFTP

Ok. What error are you getting? Make sure for the model on the Device info tab you have ASA5520, Direct Connect, SSH2, port 22. Device type is Cisco.Firewall.ASA. Vendor is Cisco. Also does the workstation or Server that you have CatTools installed allowed to SSH to the Firewall?
-
I posted it as a feature request for UDT. I would like to see something like that also. I hate using multiple tools, I rather use one tool to do it all.
-
If this is the case that Network did something. They may have an ACL (Access Control List) on the switches. Make sure they know what your polling device IP address is, and what device you are trying to poll. Then they can add that in the ACL that they may have on the switch or on a particular VLAN.

michal.hrncirik has there been anyword on when UDT will support the Cisco Nexus 5K and 2k's?
